I can test it briefly during 1v1, but I can tell you right now that it will struggle against a good amount of physicals and damage energies due to its low hp/resists

How would you improve it?  Or is Bright Roar + Storm Weaver just not going to work?

its ok, but dual brightroar is just better

Ok, my point to replacing one bright roar with storm weaver is that if you get someone energy broken, storm weaver is going to hit VERY hard.

I tried to make a build with archimonde, I tried it in WU against your best phys and best heat build and it consistently won.

 

Here it is, do you think it would work?

I mean it looks interesting and yes maybe it can beat the best builds in game (although, I don't think someone was playing it correctly). I think it would work fine in arena, just have a higher loss rate to physicals and heat builds though (vs. best physical). Against energy, probably same.

Since clever doesn't have time to update the topic, here is the current best heat hugger that he runs

pretty easy to get the mod setup right after looking at replays, I question the energy of this build though

Yeah can confirm the build doesn't work well. brightroar + storm weaver just doesn't work, it needs to be brightroar + brightroar or brightroar + lightning cutter. But in general the HP is way too low on 2.5khp

I think 2 resist drainers is unnecessary - 1 really is the max. With 2, you waste 2 hits shooting them off (versus doing heat damage) and you lose hp twice. I think only having 1 is probably best build in game atm; I’m still figuring out whether the drainer version is better than non drainer version, but I’m leaning yes.

just curious, when you update the meta builds in this best current meta builds, what happen to the previous meta?

Maybe you should have a thread of former meta since new parts change often the layout of the game. Maybe players with limited parts can look after and help them to do some not having enough to make current. Maybe here all is there but just wondering if you have something already in place that I do not know in this new forum.

Yeah that's a really good idea and something I actually thought about a few times before deleting the old builds.

That sounds good. It might help those guys trying to move up. Can be all kind of old metas way back and can help lower rankers to get some ideas with their limited inventory and can't figure out even having some basic parts for it. Kudos.

Heat - Windigo hugger is better. Plus that build is weak to energy, that's why you need basalt polisher.

Physical - It's not bad, but it's low hp with way too much backfire to be meta imo.

I remade the heat mech to have identical stats to the "best energy build" would it work now, or is it still too weak?
