I dunno if we should "rebalance" everything.  That sounds like a "reloaded", and most people were very unhappy with the reload, even if the game is good (in my opinion) as it currently stands.
I dunno if we should add a whole new element called "radiation" to the game.  I would be more or less ok with items that do damage over time (similar to TF2 items that cause enemies to bleed for a while).  But as it stands, energy regen, resistance drain, and heat cooling damage items more or less accomplish something similar.  So if it would take a ton of reprogramming of the game to create this "damage over time" concept, I fear they may not be able to implement it.

Definitely Torment.  I didn't like Snack at all.  Torment is at least equal until you factor in the capacity damage it does, so I prefer Torment.

SawzAll got a reaction from firewater789 in Greedy needs a buff
Buffs should not be based on things being "unfair" to other weapons or items.  First off, they are items in a game: they don't have feelings.  And really, since I've never seen anyone using Greedy, it's not fair or unfair because nearly everyone is using Tonto or the backfire drones for their physical mech.  I've seen Hurlbat more than Greedy.
Second, in my opinion, the Swoop buff was an over-buff.  You claim the only way to "fix" this is to buff Greedy.  I disagree: they could also nerf Swoop to reverse their over-buff.
Third, please put this in meta suggestions and attach a poll like the instructions say.  This isn't off-topic.
I appreciate you caring about Greedy, though.
I do not agree with this kind of buff.  Swoop and Windforge do heat/energy damage.  I think the point of this "family" of drones is to be more about drain than damage.  (But if you're going to reply to say Swoop now does excellent damage, my reply to you is going to be that this is because it was over-buffed.)
So instead, I would suggest that if Greedy gets a buff at all, it should be to do more resistance drain, like 12 at divine.  But that doesn't mean I'm even in favor of a buff, I'm just saying if I had to buff Greedy, that's the only thing I would change.  You have to be careful because an over-buff to one item is a nerf to all the other items of that type.
And not every item can be the best at what it does / best in its class.

SawzAll got a reaction from Corvus in What is the best mech build for rank 13-10 arena?
In my opinion, physical and boilers.   This is the rank at which the energy mechs don't do as well unless they have valiant sniper (in my humble opinion).
Here are some examples of mechs I think do well in this arena rank range.  I am not going to include modules because you should use whatever you have to try to get energy and heat capacity to 500 each and your regen/cooling to at least 250 in this rank range.  These mechs are general ideas that I quickly generated, and they are more or less what I used to get to rank 9 (the energy drainer, the boiler, and the general physical mech).  At this rank, resistance has not yet become super important, but as you get to rank 9 it begins to become more important, so substituting vests is fine.  At this rank, there are a lot of high-drain energy and high-heat boilers, so that's why I used these types of module configs.
You also want lots of energy at this rank because at about rank 10-9 people start getting valiant snipers.  That's why I also prefer to have at least one energy-free weapon on my mech.
    Energy Drainer:

Obviously if you don't have the premium drone use Torment.  Also, you can substitute EMP for one of the malice beams if you want, but I prefer not to use EMP.  That's just me.  I know someone whose combo is EMP, lightning recoiler, malice beam, and hot flash, and that's also a very effective combination.
    Basic boiler:

I would build this without heat bomb (adding Flaminator or another Corrupt Light), but most people use heat bomb in this rank, so I put it on this mech.  I think boilers are better than damage types at this rank, but as you get to rank 9, damage-type heat builds are becoming a thing.  Vandal Rage is to harm their cooling.  The META version has a hammer, but at this rank most people know about the hammer type "range 2" hole.  Unless you want to go Abomination + hammer + corrupt + vandal + savagery, but Abomination is a premium that seems hard to get.
    Heat damage type:

I prefer to do it this way so that I have Dawn Blaze, which is unlimited shots.  There are other ways to do this, but this is basically how I see it get done most of the time.  I don't personally like to be without two 3-6 range if I'm using recoilers.
    Basic physical:

Whether we like it or not, Frantic Brute is intimidating.  I'm not going to lie, I use my Night Eagle to keep enemies with Frantic weapons out of 3-6 range.
You can substitute rock recoiler, war hammer, or back breaker for Annihilation but I prefer Annihilation for its energy-free and heat-free capabilities.
The resistance drainer is only because I wanted to do something with leftover weight.   In ranks 9-13 resistance tanks are not yet becoming a big deal.  But by the time you get to rank 8, start looking at the META and trying to figure out the philosophy.  You may not be able to emulate the META but you can get close.  Here's a resistance tank that I'm currently building (based on items I actually have now).

Notice that I don't have Mercy or Damaged Armor Annihilators, or fortresses, but it's more or less the philosophy of top physical meta (i.e. resistance tanks).  Currently I am rank 9, breaking into rank 8.

If it's ok with everyone, I'd actually like this to be the 4th option in the campaign menu selection (i.e. 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Survival).  It would be one map, one mission that looks futuristic (think in various anime where they stumble upon an ancient super-advanced civilization) and that one mission is the survival mode.  I'd rather not add a button to the main menu, as that seems almost full of buttons already.  I'd also rather not make it an event, but more like its own thing.  I'd say it could be a button next to the RAID button, but honestly I think there are too many buttons, so that's why I'm thinking campaign menu.
Or it could be one of the modes in the RAID (if RAID had a menu like Campaign).
But if there's no other way than to make it one of the portals, I don't mind.

To answer the question, it's a toss up between 3 things:

A proper spaghetti carbonara with guanciale and absolutely no cream is delicious, rich, flavorful and creamy. The rich egg, fat and cheese would grow boring, but the delicious salty guanciale keeps it exciting at all times - which is why you must cut it into bigger chunks than on this picture, and not too many of them. The guanciale serves to keep your pallette awake, not to flavor the entire meal.
For the vegetarians in this thread, you can probably replace the fat by another type and the guanciale by practically anything else salty. Nuts might honestly work so long as cooked fairly softly. I've made nut-based pasta's before and they work well. For vegans, you're fresh out of options - no egg is no dice.
A proper lasagna bolognese is delicious, sweet and savory with cheesy goodness to boot!
It's one of those dishes you eat so often of poor quality, you think it has a certain homely, reliable flavor but isn't very special. Until you have a proper one in italy that is and you discover it is an assortment of delicious flavors that differs a bit with every bite as the center is cooked slightly differently from the rest of the lasagna.
Now, when I make it at home, I lack some italian ingredients. A killer tomato paste is hard to find at home, so is great quality pasta (unless you have space for your own machine, which I do not :(). In fact, even the tomato's used to make a killer tomato paste/bolognese are practically impossible to find here, but you can find a canned one that is extremely good if you live in the USA. I heard nothing but positive things about San Marzano tomatoes in a can, but we don't have those here.
So my trick at home is to use a little bit of sambal, which slightly drowns out the poor quality tomatoes and offers a sweet yet spicy twist to it that works well with lower quality ingredients!

A quality buccatini pomodore is a bit of a national treasure, a very sweet dish with some salty goodness from the grated cheese. The thicker pasta really helps provide a nice bite!
In Pienza, at probably my favorite restaurant ever, they had a local special. A pici (similar to buccatini) with garlic foam, tomato sauce. It was divine and honestly made me beg my companions to try it themselves - best meal I had in my life. I am yet to successfully recreate it but once I've some time and space for a pasta machine, I will.

Now as you may have noticed, I quite like my italian pasta's. I am a somewhat picky eater and I find pasta is provides what I need in addition to being quite delicious. I imagine though some of you may be disappointed to not find any dutch food in here, so I will offer my favorite dutch meal and probably the only one genuinely I love.
Farmer's Kale with sausage and gravy is a a dutch speciality, though I usually choose to eat it without the gravy as its a bit much for me.
It's extremely savory/umami and when piping hot will make you feel fulfilled in ways that are hard to imagine.
If cooked properly, the mashed potatoes and kale mesh into one soft substance. You don't taste any fibers from the leaves or tomato - there's no unpleasant texture - it's basically just mashed potato texture. It's extremely healthy and easy to make.

Hope that answers it for everyone!

I have an idea for a new mode of play in this game that would require a complete change of tactics and build.
So far, arena favors mass damage because you have one chance to beat your enemy.
RAID favors single use heat bombs to be able to overpower your enemies.
Campaigns, as they are now, favor resistance and limited use items because you get your uses back with each enemy.
    What about survival mode?
Basically this mode would be like a campaign mission but it would be one mech on a 3x3 square.
When you beat the first mech (think 1v1 first mission on normal), it immediately spawns another in-game.
The enemies get harder as you go.
Your rewards are based off of how many waves of enemies you successfully kill.
This would be different because mechs with limited use items would die quickly once they run out of shots.
It might even be best for F2Ps because lots of non-premium items are unlimited use.
It would require a different kind of mech build than the arena or raid.
So say I defeat 10 enemies, my rewards are based off that.  One can play survival mode once a day.
This would provide another source of game reward.  You wouldn't be competing against other people, really, but against yourself, seeing how many waves you can beat.
With this also comes the "best survival mode score of the week" where the player with the highest number of waves that week would get honorable mention and a specific reward.
    What do you think?
