    Hello noobs,

    For those living under a stone, mediteranean countries and Turkey are currently under assaults of the flames.

    Southern Turkey, the country where i live and that i cherish is being devored by flames.

    The country being under dicatorship, communication on the topic is being censored. Situation is dire, authorities are shit and are not managing anything.

    @Miron_Mironovich, has left his country and is currently helping in a small town near Marmaris. I do not have details on what be does, combating fires or helping populations.

    I do not know neither if he has been dispatched professionally or is volunteering down there.

    Whatever it is, it takes a large pair of balls and a large care for humans to do what he does.

    Concerning the events, i dont know. I can only say that offers are way better now than they used to be.

    For the meta, i blame the player base more than the administration. There is plenty of very effiecient builds possible, and people stick to the same and overused shet. Im talking for the people that have the inventory capability to build different, and there is plenty. I designed and tested 10s of builds (heat) that are at least as good as the so called meta. Sticking to the same stuffs has always been a thing. But now, player base quality is way lower than what it used to be. Once again, talking about the people that could but dont.

    So much that a balance update will result i what. People sticking to 1 or 2 new metas. People didnt test naga, didnt test windigo, didnt test nightmare, didnt test energy dependant heat weapons besides red rain sword and axe. Sad. Not worth releasing balance update in my opinion.

    Only thing i could blame gato games about is raising expectations and not delivering. Mainly on anti cheat measures and gameplay improvments. Which doesnt mean they dont work on blind stuffs, like infrastructure and all.

    Fix for boosting issue - restoring instant quit replays

    Everybody in top clans knows who boosts and who doesnt. Who boosts a lot and who boosts as "optimisation".

     

    Replay displaying wouldnt change much besides making it visible to the ones unaware.

    Considering making alt accounts forbiden is impossible, only realistic solution to fix boosting (which the administration do not even adress as an issue btw) would be to forbid it and deploy something similar to the "cheater report form".

    He actually started from 221 on that boosting run.

    Thats around 40 battles. In 3v3, when you are at the top of the leader board, search + battle time is between 10 and 15 mins. That translate into 400 and 600mins total, without breaks. Which translates into 6.5h to 10h playing. 

    He just boosts, no replay just is a side effect.

    Yes mate,

    for various reasons, she decided to leave game and community both last November.
    She did not update anybody doing so. Which left us with some rumors of her death that grew.

    İ mourned and cried like a teenage girl myself. İt turns out that it was some kind of misunderstanding and some lively rumors, she is fine and rocking, that made my day and week amazing.

    Patient of the day: the tiny electrical drone; windforge.

    Main attributes of this drone are low weight and large energy drain. With today's regenerative capabilities, the drain is way to low to do the intended job properly, damage usually hits for 1. Drone is close to useless.

    As per putting it in perspective with swoop, which has low damage, low weight and 46 heat generation more than the second larger heater drone (guardian), i propose the following buff to windforge:

    - +61 energy drain

    - +15% damage

    Keep in mind that electrical type is currently (and since long time) at the bottom of the food chain.

    Desolation rework proposal - by LG

    Subject of the day is my beloved desolation.

    Desolation is the only epic tier energy free heat weapon. Dual desolation builds are very accessible and can accomodate variants going from very f2p to hard p2w. Very evolutive.

    Thid used to be the bread and butter of any access damage oriented heat player.

    We see less and less claws (range denial of those was one of the approaches to properly use desolation), more and more high HP and resistances, desolation became somehow obsolete.

    I propose a rework of this weapon.

    - add 15% damage

    - add 20% heat generation

    Frantic Brute Suggestion - Rework it to be less random, increase its energy weakness

    One idea was to make it a "Random" backfire wep, so despite what dmg it makes it can make "Random" self dmg up the same dmg it can to others, double the danger of using it. (at least that would be fun to watch 🙂 )

    Thats a ridiculous thing to say. If the so called experienced players would have such a magic wand on rng with frantics, they would populate the top of the ladder. They dont. Precisely due to the unconsistency of the weapon..

    The “easy” answer to rebalancing?

    Only real solution to balance out would be to add weight on overpowered items as well as to remove the weight override.

    450+ phys items that weight like a feather and that consume no energy, its way to easy to fit those on 4khp all resed mechs. Put 3 plates, 3 of those new hp/res, 2 new elec/heat boosters, literally put whatever energy free phys weaponery on top: tada, you are now a top player, very difficult.

    Even nerfing those weapons by 100dmg wouldnt change much.

    Fyi, tuning the weight isnt something that Gato is willing to do, "people would have to change their builds". (Fack yeah they would).

    Its a selfish pleasure, most things i build arent even meant to be top notch, just to tick my checklist. It is by no mean a support to the game neither a desire to perform in arena. I couldnt care less to take part in the current brainless meta and unbalances. I just fancy nice builds that fit my standards.

    I can build those abominations of physical mechs, i decide not to, not my thing to build shet mechs.

    I can field multiple OP accounts, i decide not to. Id rather let them sleep, not my thing to just ponzi up a main account.

    I dont think this makes me an hypocrite, im just a selfish kunt taking what there is to take for me. Occasionaly bursting the balls of the archtects/actors of the here described shamefull events. Also a hobby for me.

    This multi account thing made the arena very painfull and almost totally devoid of interest.

    It turned out to become who is the most proficient in ponzi schemes building.

    It also indicates a very low degree of competitivity in the literal meaning of it. "I multi account because others do and because i can" is a miserable excuze, its all personal choices.

    There is no real solutions to this, its technicaly easy to do, management doesnt have any issue with it, most players  look for more AP rather than interesting battles/seasons.

    Observation: In higher ranks, only monkeys are viable, save for a very few situational exceptions of course. That is an issue. That is boring.

    İ have been testing EFA, Sabertooth/zarkares quite a bit. Those retain resistance advantage against monkeys. EFA is fine (but very limited in use. Zarkares represents a good sample of old generation torsos. I think that zarkares should have a similar HP to EFA, the latest retaining massive weight advantage. I think all old torsos should receive a similar HP buff, in the neighborhood of 200.

    Summary, i propose to add 220hp to all old torsos. Zarkares, windigo, brutality, nightmare/interceptor/sith, grim rapist, naga, vest series etc.

    That and the removal of the weight override would bring diversity i believe.

    Target here would be to bring diversity in the mechs we can build (and that would retain efficiency), playing with HP, resistances, weights and stats.
