The new GOAT tournament 🐐

Hi guys! 

  Welcome to our first GOAT tournament on the new forum! 

The rules of the tournament will be the same, but we decided to make one big change. In order for everyone to have equal chances and for the whole tournament to actually be skill based therefore fairer as such, we decided to give each participant a brand-new account with certain amounts of boxes and things needed to participate in the tournament.

Important things to note before we get to the rules of the tournament: 

• THE ACCOUNT YOU RECEIVE WILL BE ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE TOURNAMENT, YOU WILL NOT KEEP IT NOR CAN YOU, AS WE WILL BAN IT AFTER THE COMPETITION.
• Please do not attempt to trade, share passwords and similar. Those will lead to an automatic disqualification. 

The rules are pretty much the same as before: 

• Build a mech using level 1 epic, rare or common items. Rare and common items can be upgraded, epic ones not. 
• Do not use legendary or mythical items on your build. (It also makes no sense to waste time and gold on creating those)
• Other items that are not allowed in the competition are: EMP, Heat Bomb 
• Once the applying time is up, you can no longer change your build and you must use it in battles without any changes made. 
• Fight the assigned opponent to get to the next round until there is a single winner left.
• There is a time period you have to fight your opponent; it starts after the pairs have been published and lasts 48h. It's up to you when you decide to fight.
• After the fight, please post who won and the replay code so we can make sure everything is okay. 
• Any sort of cheating or attempts to cheat will lead to automatic disqualification and possible ban from participating in the future tournaments. 

Applying and other important information: 

Since this tournament is different as explained above, we need to have a slightly different applying method.

Step 1: Those who want to participate need to apply in the form for it and fill in the required information (Forum name, ID number and preferred way for us to contact you and send you your account details) The form is open for 3 days. ( 21st May ) 

• This form is only for us to note you as a participant, assign you an account and know who you are.
• Please don’t abuse or spam the form, apply only if you really want to participate. Have in mind we are all spending our time on the tournament and trying to get it to succeed. A bit of respect and patience is all required
• Apply ONLY ONCE, there is no need for multiple applications. No, you can't participate with more than 1 account and please don’t try to.
• You can't participate with your own account, only with the assigned one.

Step 2:  You’ll need to submit your build on the forum. The place to do this is under the information tab on the forum -> GOAT submission. You’ll need to complete this within 7 days. (I will post when the form is open and everything) 

• After the submission time is done, you can no longer edit your build. The form is created that way and you can't change it. The build that is submitted in the forum must be used in the tournament. 
• Any changes made to the build after the form is up, will be considered as an attempt to cheat and lead to disqualification.

Rewards

As usual, the tournament winner gets the goat torso perk. Adding to that, we will also distribute token rewards for the first 4 places: 

1st place – 1000 tokens + goat perk 

2nd place – 750 tokens 

3rd place – 500 tokens 

4th place – 250 tokens 

All of the tournament updates, fighting pairs and similar will be posted in this topic. Please do not spam my inbox or email with questions, post them in this topic and possibly tag me so I don’t miss it, the chances are big that someone else has a similar question or doubt and they can easily find their answer in here. 

If you have any suggestions, I'm open to them, we can discuss anything, modify the time limits and adjust as needed. 

If there is any issue with the account, also please let me know as soon as possible (DMs or email marija@gatogames.net) so we solve it quickly :))

Are the packs/boxes you will receive set to only drop only epic or lower tier items, or are legendaries also a possibilty?

Well I plan to just give you guys a lot of mix boxes to open and see how that goes, everyone would be getting the same amount of boxes of course

You are correct! And that is the main reason why we decided to do the tournament this way, so that arena shop wouldnt be a problem for people.

Post example please? I banned the EMP and Heat Bomb as the classic ones to be banned but if there is items that could be a problem we can ban them too

Will there be a base on the account, or silver boxes. imo silver boxes would be better for this as you get items more quickly then

You will be provided with a lot of boxes already, so I think base or no base doesnt matter as much? This is one of the things we can actually see and adjust if needed as we go, if majority is having an issue we can find a way and fix it together  Its the first time we are doing this whole thing for the tournament so we cant know for sure what is exactly needed, we are taking some guesses now and seeing how things go

Siick, lets hope everyone isn't immature about this one too. Will the form be posted here or on a new topic? Also, are physical mechs allowed? I know they weren't in the police mechs competition. This is my first goat tournament. 

I'M JUST PUTTING IT OUT THERE, I'M IN EASTERN TIME ZONE AND I WILL NOT WAKE UP AT 3 AM FOR SOMEONE ACROSS THE WORLD. I have work and school and I don't have the patience to wait until the last minuet. Good luck everyone!

All items are allowed up to level 1 epic. The banned items are listed in the topic, I still might ban some more but I will notify you all here on time
