Eyy That was some storytime! I loved it, and Im really happy you had such a great time regardless of not receiving much presents. Christmas is not about presents but about having a good time at that day. Its very good to learn to appreciate what we have, the "basics" as we call them, friends and family, they mean a lot more than we think, They are actually all we need. They are a gift to us and we are a gift to them. Christmas achieved to become a special day for you too, even tho you did nothing special at that day as you said, well that's the magic of Christmas i suppose! I wish you to have such great experiences often in your life. And xmas is not over.. more holidays such as the new year's even are yet to come!

I got nothing this Christmas,unless I count a lollipop.Am I disappointed,though?Could I have asked for more?
Most importantly,I was (and am) in good health,so I could do things.The weather during 25th was way warmer than usual;the entire day went at a constant 9*C so I could just shove that helmet on my head and ride my full-sus right and left.All that while being dressed lighter than in the last few weeks so everything felt all the more fresh.
I stuffed myself on food,candies,cigarettes and whatever else I felt like taking a sip of (or a bigger bite),so there's that.Then I could watch things on my screens unbothered,with the volume set to maximum since nobody cares;it's Christmas and everyone is loud.
Then I spontaneously started feeling felt out and was disappointed,if not sick for a few minute,only to be surprized by a few friends with a message kind of like ''9 pm,my place,no comments or excuses'' and I felt my heart bigger and brighter and warmer and sweeter and everything...even though I knew I'd have more fun at home doing my stuff.
Went there,fell asleep prematurely and woke up at 5 am (my body got used to waking up after about 5-6 hours;I know,it's a pretty sad thing),so I pretty much missed everything.Am I mad?Hell no,that's the one night I got a good sleep and at a more normal hour than my usual 8 am.Then we watched the sunset and my friends started playing their guitars out in the (not-so-)cold.
How did I respond to that?Well,first of all,I was in my uniform so of course I enjoyed myself.Second of all,I was utterly and completely uninterested by what 2 of them were talking and what the other one was playing,so I took it upon myself to listen to some music and just sit there;enjoy the moment,again,unbothered.I felt at peace.
I was on my way back and was full of expectations like ''Holy F,I'm buying that trial,then I'm getting my hands on a flecktarn uniform and heck blah blah''.I got home and all I got was my mother greeting me with ''Oh wow,slept well?Here,have one of those'' and gave me a lollipop and a razorblade (no jokes),only to later ask for that razorblade back because she lost hers ( 😆 lmao).Was I disappointed?
She handed me that cheap little piece of shit and in that instant I thought ''You know what;fuck the bikes and things,I've got all this stuff all over the place'' and made myself a coffee,chewed half the lollipop,smoked a cigarette and drank that coffee,chewed the rest of the lollipop and resumed my normal listening to music,satisfied as ever.I mean I still kind of want that trial bike and I'm struggling to put together that Flecktarn uniform now,but could honestly not ask for moreand not ever dare think to do so.Everything was enough;maybe more than enough for me.
So there you go,as you can see,I received pretty much nothing and all I did was pretty much nothing.In fact,this Christmas has been so ordinary,trivial and underwhelming that not only didn't allow me to take it seriously,but it actually made me feel at peace for one day.Everything was just...calm,static,peaceful,ordinary (and uninteresting;boring yet not unpleasant) insignificant.It just felt natural so I deemed it good.I wanted something big,something huge,I craved that immense blast and in overwhelming numbers  to fuck up my brains...and I got the complete opposite.I didn't even get a sound,let alone a blast - all I got was silence.
Although yeah.
I fucking hate Christmas.
This one wasn't so bad.Again,every day is and could be a holiday depending on the perspective,so nothing's all that shiny and extravagant anymore,when you think about it.To celebrate something or feel good,you don't have to do something wow like blow up fireworks,spend half a salary on props and trips and shit and just get wasted and do super loud things and visit whatever dressed in whatnot...
With that said...I celebrated the day,not the holiday.I celebrated the day itself because it has been special to me,since I rarely feel in such general and natural harmony.In fact,looking back 2 days ago,I absolutely loved that feeling;as if nothing was happening at all and I was just there between things that would do nothing and we'd all just sit there together,somehow,for some reason,in our own way,be it me and my friends or the enviroment that also seemed pretty bored yet calm.Everything was so deadly boring and silent that felt so alive and made me feel so alive.I don't know,I can't explain it,maybe it doesn't even make sense properly but...
Yeah,the only Christmas gift I got...was the day itself.
...and I wouldn't trade that day for anything in the world,be it ten bikes and uniforms and money and whatever worthless shit I originally wished for before I realized how eerie it all was.

I wished for that day to keep going on,for that feeling to never stop.Why am I crying right now;because I never thought I would be capable of such a thing and I have just realized how invaluable some apparently worthless things are that we take so for granted and never mind them compared to such pricy things that are worthless and,in fact,don't even matter.Like,who cares about a bike and a uniform?It's literally some useless garbage to fill up even more space.
Days?We all have days,why would we care.I'd rather take the money.Like,we do things every day. - or something like that.Yeah,but has anyone considered just how priceless that ''nothing'' we do every day is?
Mhm...I think I just learned that sometimes,you have to change your point of focus to truly realize what to regard and esteem.A day in which you do nothing could feel better and more earned than a day in which you have the (seemingly) most success and activity/achievements of your life.

There is no character limit on posts that you would run into I believe, there is one but it’s so far, I doubt even Josh could reach it (further than our discourse one I am pretty sure).

Hello,this is Lake from the old forum and I'm still getting used to this place as I've spent my last years on the other one,which was much simpler and faster to use.Please be patient since there's a long one incoming,but I am really trying...It's been a long year with this weapon and I'll do my outmost best to help fix it.
@Alexander You might already know,but I was always that one guy who bragged about this item the most and wished it was changed from Day 1 of its existence,since such an item has nothing to do and should have no tangency with a strategy game.I am very glad that there is developer initiative on this issue now and will do my best to objectively explain and then leave some suggestions regarding it.
ARGUMENTS!

First of all,the Frantic brute is an Epic-tier top weapon,capable of delivering very low,average or very high blows to the opponent.What makes it unbalanced and unfair in a way that the previous devs failed to consider is that afct that,given its damage range and the usual average damage,it tends to have a much higher percentage towards hitting much,*much* higher than average.And so,the chance to crit is always higher than the chance to miss in theory and,in most case,also in practice.
Second of all,the item is unfair in the inventory as well as it is unfair (especially) in the Arena,which is why I consider a ''damage straightening'' inefficient.The weapon is a combination between NightFall and Spartan Carnage,yet it deals more damage than both of them.If you tweak the damage,the percentages wouldn't really change and it'd still tend to crit,and thus...It will remain a weapon with the rarity of an Epic,the range and essential functionality of an L-M and damage still above them.In other words,it'll still be a budget Spartan that's actually harder hitting than the original in general.And so,the situation will be ameliorated since there won't be 800 crist anymore,yet 700/650 crits will continue to go on and thus the situation is still there.FUndamentally,nothing has changed;thorns are smaller and easier to swallow but still hurt.
If you tweak the damage properly,however,then it's not a viable solution,either.Because then it'll be the same with weapon we already have.It's just going to be a longer-range NightFall or a direct downgrade to a Spartan variant...And nobody needs item duplicates.Or else what'd the purpose of getting a NightFall be or what value would a little extra damage from a Spartan have?Almost none,so hard-fixing Frantic isn't really do-able since it'll make it ''just another copy''.
And then adding backfire or double energy costs to it would be obsolete...Because giving 100 HP against a phys mech to inflict 800 at least twice is quite the bargain.And then the energy cost is irrelevant when fighting phys or heats,so this would only offer a slight advantage to energy mechs (that will still die before they drain the enemy,since 3 crits are enough to finish any electric and 700 energy isn't so easily drained in 1 turn).
So sorry,Alexander,but it seems at least to me that the changes proposed are...Still underwhelming compared to the massive denting capability of that thing.It's one beast impossible to tame like that.

After much though over many months of enduring this,I could only come up with two suggestions that I would dearly like you to consider and think about.
Since there is no ''middle way'' to make this balanced and still retain its purpose,I though it may as well go ''full luck mode''.
My first suggestion it to (maybe) raise the damage a little (even though it already hits 2x as hard than usual E-Ms but hey,fine,there's that) BUT! give it one use.
Like this,it's a total luck weapon.High risk-high reward (as where now there's little risk with super abusable reward) weapon.I'm thinking like 0-900 (with Arena Buffs) instead of 100-800 and the same 50kgs of weight and costs (maybe),but JUST 1 use.Because 2 uses is too much,especially when they come in 650/700+ rows,during which you just want to uninstall the game and yourself from life and cuss at how unfair and unbalanced that was.Seriously,not even Magmas or Bunkers when drained can hit that high and that constant.With that,you'd risk doing 0 damage or killing your enemy in like 1 turn if you dual-weild them (like most abusers do,anyways,so no change there).
It's either that or...removal.
Rather than taming the damage from 800 to around 700,as suggested above,and not fixing but rather just simply ameliorating the issue a little,I think it's better to delete it.Rather than live like that,still a nightmare,then it's better off gone.
And it's not even that big a deal.The users have had a long and good time to abuse it so there they go.They still gained more than they lost.And if compensation is still in order,it's just an E-M item anyways that doesn't cost much.I reckon it costs at most 1 million gold (if you buy Silver Boxes to upgrade) to fully max it.So it can be *very* easily compensated since it's pretty much just a glass cannon and there's no real loss.But one thing is to gain:balance and fairness.
Especially in lower ranks,when R15s with 800 HP go against people that chose Frantics as a first myth and maxed item.Nonetheless,in R1,when Frantics kill you before you have any chance to drain and defend yourself or when your Spartans,Magmas and Bunkers,again,are clearly outclasses by the damage.
Thank you and I hope this has been helpful.We've has enough of this weapon and I'm sad to see that those biased users will do everything they can to keep abusing it and evade a fix.

It's just that the way you exposed those ideas...Yeah,it was pretty messy and made it impossible to understand properly,leading to an unsure vote or even denial.

@Alexander You know I like you and so I'm not bugging you for any other reason.There's just a lot of nasty and problematic stuff around that causes not only inconveniences,but also misunderstandings.And this is one of the biggest issues of the forum as for now.
You know,in this layout,replies are fluid.There's no order and you can't see what reply is actually for whom,unless you tag or quote (but you can't quote full posts).
Example Fictional Story:
You want to reply to someone above the person directly above you.Unless you tag and explain to who and what you're referring,since the forum won't tell you anything,everything you want to tell to your dude way above will be shown as if you told the dude directly above.
Example fictional Story II:
The person above you says something right and the one above him says something stupid.So,you're going to compliment one and explain to the other (or maybe say it directly that ''bro that's stupid,here's why'').So what do you do?You click reply and say ''Hey that's stupid and here's why'' and go on.Little do you know,you just corrected someone who got it right and pretty much confused the heck out of everyone,making yourself look like an idiot.
And why is this super annoying?
Because you also have no button to see who is replying to whom.I could see you reply to me when,in fact,you're replying to Winzkay.
And even if you specify...If I have more replies,one that's alright and one that's not...Then how am I supposed to which reply you're reffering??
This forum lacks a lot of things.You need to add and explain yourself even to who and to which of his replies you're actually replying to before you even start properly typing!!
And this could so easily fixed using a preview of that which you're replying to...You know,you see (or are directed) to the intended reply and then you pretty much see both that one and yours and compare them so everything makes sense.

Next poster gets a sick sense of satisfaction in small acts of chaotic enactment, such as switching the toilet paper around in other people's homes so it comes out of the back instead, and rearranging the lettering in signs such that it produces rude words. this person's apetite is thus while fulfilled in such acts of petty rebellion. yet, their apetite grows from day to day. when once, ringing a neighbour's doorbell and fleeing before being seen would satisfy, now, the next poster must spraypaint obscenities, or say slurs online to quench that same thirst. the next poster's fascinations grow bolder and more ambitious, with each little kick, each little flurry of excitement. tomorrow... well, just what tomorrow? the next poster is a highly dangerous individual, and must reverse course should they stand any chance at sanity. for the sake of themselves and others. go, on, admit it, next poster. bet you won't. but you know it's true. you know. and, I know.

Double posting is not allowed on any forum I am aware of. It is highly disruptive, annoying behavior and completely unnessescary - you can just use + to quote multiple things and then reply to each in a post.

Quotes do show who is being quoted unless you override it, they do not show nested quotes unless you force it to manually because it would turn long discussions into massive posts of endlessly embedded posts.

This is world-class software also used by LinusTechTips, Neowin, NBC, SEGA, previously Minecraft (they switched to something custom built when they were bought), GTAForums, Nexusmods...... It's used by a large percentage of the biggest forums in the world. You're free to dislike it and your feedback is welcome, but the platititudes are a bit unneeded. They do things differently, but they don't do things "wrong". A lot of players like this one and this is generally considered one of the best options out there.

You can resize pics, just double click them, you can even move them. See on my right.

When you get a notification, it shows up at the bottom of your screen as well. You can click that one and itll take you right there and mark the notification in question as read. 
 
They are, but they are read on opening the bar as not everyone will want to click all notifications. How many notifications are you getting that you cant keep track of which to click -> new tab? o.0
 
I set it to do that because double posting also means giving people double notification, bumps the topic above other ones and is generally highly annoying to everyone else.
