Ah, JustAndromedaInshape, the fact you corrected me on that instead of what I’m thinking makes me think you forgot as well. I didn’t remember the exact details at the time of posting my comments you’re replying to. However, I do remember engines and boosters were hard to come by.
So, with the nerf on premium boxes, engines and boosters became easy to get. Correct me if I’m wrong, JustAndromedaInshape. This is the event I’m referring to:

So, in that sense, before the nerf on premium boxes, engines and boosters were premium (in the loose sense of the word) because they were hard to come by. Good thing I didn’t say they're L-M, lol.

In reloaded engines and boosters never was l-m items. Only mono cap modules/resist/platinum plate always had this status

And I’m telling you, as someone with almost 7 years experience playing this game at top ranks in both legacy and reloaded, that combined modules are what killed energy. 
 
Energy free weapons existed far before energy was dead, but it was only after the release of OP, CEU, and QC that energy got absolutely shafted. This didn’t fundamentally break anything about the game, but it did make energy the weakest type since it gave everything insane regen. 
 
Please stop using weight to stat ratio as a point of comparison between items. It doesn’t accurately judge how the meta functions in this game. A better point of comparison in my opinion is usage rates across all ranks, as it provides a more realistic vector at which to compare an items viability. 
 
Buffs are not popular at all? If I’m not mistaken this is the first buff we’ve seen in at least 8 months, last one being Archimonde by a tiny insignificant amount. Suggesting buffs may be popular, but it doesn’t translate to in game change.

Since I know multiple players and myself have other players in their family, therefore playing the game under the same IP, I do not think this is a good idea, Besides that, people already have VPN those days, so it wouldn't be really hard to bypass that system if it were implemented. 🙂

also, yah, I was first to do bunker + grim cobra. till then they used to give a grim cobra at epic level every week and nobody wanted it, so I thought Id try make it work. that was some hot shit for a minute there. this was pre-burning shower so it really fricked heat mech's sheett up.

Well. Buff of course needed. But 200 hp difference not gonna play a very big role. It's like 1 more hit.. if adding hp need make them more valuable. Currently no res torsos (monkey series) in only downsite is res, maybe that gonna be logical buff old torsos with some res. Like 10~20 or maybe even 25, because a lot of hp not gonna make difference, but combination of res with ho gonna give enough of survivability without high hp jumps, also allows low rank players have decent resist even with epic Res modules

Observation: In higher ranks, only monkeys are viable, save for a very few situational exceptions of course. That is an issue. That is boring.
İ have been testing EFA, Sabertooth/zarkares quite a bit. Those retain resistance advantage against monkeys. EFA is fine (but very limited in use. Zarkares represents a good sample of old generation torsos. I think that zarkares should have a similar HP to EFA, the latest retaining massive weight advantage. I think all old torsos should receive a similar HP buff, in the neighborhood of 200.
Summary, i propose to add 220hp to all old torsos. Zarkares, windigo, brutality, nightmare/interceptor/sith, grim rapist, naga, vest series etc.
That and the removal of the weight override would bring diversity i believe.
Target here would be to bring diversity in the mechs we can build (and that would retain efficiency), playing with HP, resistances, weights and stats.

The name is TheWindWeaver , im the lady that have been around the game since the more positive times before reloaded , former 2 old forum members and the game's veteran , im well known for untilizing high risk high reward Frantic Brute tactics [Yes , tactics] , i roam around the more lower ranks for more relaxing fights , don't hestitate to request a win if you were to see me in the Arena as i have no intention in competetive gameplay . A pleasure for me to be in the new forum against new people as well as old people alike
