    YAY I'm helpful! 😄 
    I appreciate @Alexander for rescuing SuperMechs from TactiSoft.
    I appreciate @Raul for his work with SM to include the monkey torsos and creating several other sprites.  As well, I'm pretty sure he either created or at least has been updating WU.  WU is a huge benefit in SM because you can "sandbox" your builds.
    I appreciate @epicspeedster for all his build and tactics help.  Even though he needs to stop yelling at me 😭 LOL
    I appreciate @CleverName for his META listing and our many conversations.  It makes builds very easy but also as a philosophy I can start to learn what works and what probably doesn't.
    I appreciate @Mechzilla for his advice and friendship.
    I appreciate Bobson for his energy scope builds, proving that it's possible to be rank 1 with energy (much less energy scopes).
    I also appreciate all other top 10 energy players because they proved energy isn't completely dead.
    I appreciate @Marija for her humor and helpfulness on discord.
    And I appreciate @Malthael for creating this thread.

    I´ve been to three clans so far. I don´t remeber the first one. Sorry 😅 The other one wa some kind of WLGang (sorry, I don´t know how many there are) but there was a very nice Zylok in it and now I´m in the RF. There are perfect people like

    They bring humor to the game, but mainly knowledge and teach average players how to improve and they can also ask unpleasnt questions. And that is rare.

    We've evaluated this thread and would like to explain a few things: 

    When we bought the game we first took the time to see how Tacticsoft's event schedule plays out, how people respond to them, how we feel playing with them and so on. A few things we concluded, concerning portals specifically, I felt like, frankly, they were extremely boring. 
    You click the mission, click auto-pilot and get your reward. No thinking, no strategy, no workshop required. If new, you may have to struggle a bit for the higher levels (if you feel like it), but really, even then, it's not strategy, it's just that you don't hit the required numbers yet. 
    Said reward wasn't bad per se, a free 30-45 tokens (40-50 cents) for clicking 2 buttons isn't the worst of deals, but I wouldn't call it "fun"  and I personally believe games should aim to be fun first and foremost, rather fun than balanced, rather fun than fair, rather fun than anything else. We play to entertain ourselves, after all. 
    So we began experimenting.
     
    Ultimately I hoped with harder portals, people would learn more about the game, play more in the workshop, think more on their actions and turn off the darn autopilot. We felt that, after struggling to finish it, they should feel like it was worth it (a sense of achievement and satisfaction) so we combined this with drastically higher reward reflecting the up to 30 minutes you may be spending on it (or more, if you're less experienced / have a lesser inventory). 

    Simultaneously, we felt this gave both motivation to improve your mech (better rewards) before you get into multiplayer, and more tokens for f2p-ers and small spenders to attempt to rise up a bit. With Hard and Easy you'd be pretty close to a premium pack and once you've had a few, insane would be achievable with enough strategy, and it would be a case mostly of reducing required revives. 
     
    This didn't really affect our business beyond perhaps a minor drop in income, we didn't see any correlation with retention or such (after all, newbs just kind of do what they can and go do something else if they can't manage yet, plenty of hard content that isn't doable for them yet in SM and they don't value tokens as much until they've stuck around for a few weeks to months already), but we hoped it would be more fun that way. I like a challenge and some early reactions I heard (frustration, persistence, and then great happiness on success) made me feel like we were on the right track. 
     
    This however doesn't deafen us to criticism - it is clear some players feel very scammed by the likely need to revive, discriminated by the difficulty and the last thing we wanted to do here is scam our playerbase and ruin an event they like. 
     
    As such, the next portal has been set to Tacticsoft's settings - slightly better gold than TS gave, the higher token option (45 opposed to 30) and slightly easier difficulty than the old TS ones so it should be achievable for every single player. A flat out improvement, even if not really my personal cup of tea, opposed to a potential 'ruin' of the portals. We intend to stick with this for the foreseeable future pending feedback.

    If something as obvious as this, cannot be implemented, either due to lack of staff or because the platform doesn't support any more updates, then close and we go (and the last one to turn off the light). In the end, what do we play? To a game of competition or a game of "look for the mistake"? We have asked for this for months, not to say almost 1 year.

    This thread is very important. The possibility of transforming common and rare relics into epic and legendary (especially legendary), would be a very smart way for the current administration to put an end to the injustice caused by the abuse of private agreements with the previous administration. And a sample of Alexander's goodwill to solve this problem that has consequences in the present.
    We will see if the current administration really wants to end the unpleasant consequences of these abuses or not.

    This still has not been added.  I was the 1st to bring this up in the old forum.  I brought it up many times. I even brought it up with Alex. I got no reply there.  Your idea is the same as my idea, but the numbers are different.  
    Common to rare: 1 common plus 2 other common = 1 rare
    Rare to epic: 1 rare plus 3 rare = 1 epic
    epic to legend.: 1 epic plus 4 epic = 1 legendary
     
    Actually, the smart thing to to is to up them to epic, and that is it.  You would be wasting them

    As a lot of players know, after you reach a high rank (ranks 5-1) you start accumulating lots of commom and rare relics and you can't do much with them. Most of the itens you'll need divine require only the epics and mainly the legendaries reliquies. (You rarely use the commons and the rares relics to divine some item).
    The following is, I thought about a system that you can covert your relics. For exemple: You need 2 common relics for 1 rare relic, 2 rare relics for an epic relic and for the last, 2 epic relics for a legendary relic. With this reasoning, high rank players will not accumulate commons and rares reliquies anymore and they'll divine their itens faster.
    Do you think that idea could work? Do you have any suggestion or doubht about that idea?

    The past months ,several players have been deceiving the community by winning solo medals and reaching high ranking by boosting themselves using alt accounts or having others boost them. As a result, individual medals are losing their value and players become demotivated, competition is being destroyed. I believe the only possible way to deal with this is to make all Replays visible, including instant quit Replays so that the players who boost will be exposed at least. In that way they will probably stop boosting since the community will acknowledge that those players are ethically cheating. Please spend a few minutes/ seconds on the poll, your opinion matters a lot and can determine whether boosting will be prevented, and how soon this will be. The sooner, the better.
    I believe that since it has been several months already that competition is being harmed and most solo weekly wins are a lie, its high time action was taken, **as soon as possible** , so that the game will become a little better. The more making the game better by fixing any competition issues is delayed, the more pointless fixing it in the future becomes since more and more damage is being caused, damage that can not be eraised.

    None of the choices match how I found SM. I was searching for a new version of MechWarrior and found the beta version of SM in late summer or early fall of 2011. I played it and got hooked. Despite some coding issues, the legacy version of SM had better game mechanics, superior utilities (double hook, double charge, many variations of heat and energy shields from 10%-50%) and the workshop/dashboard was designed better. 9 years in, I still enjoy certain aspects of the game, and look forward to Gato improving the player experience and taking out the trash.

    Personally as a heavy windforge user its nice to see this sort of thread to revive it. 
    The original focus of this weapon to me was heavy energy damage and resistance drain. Therefore I would propose a reasonable energy increase and an increase to the resistance drain. 
    +61 although it seems high is realistic given the recent swoop buff. Perhaps even higher would not be a bad thing.  Increasing the resistance drain from 5 to 10 would be a nice way of digging away at those that have a large amount of resistance.  Lastly to allow these large buffs I think increasing the energy cost from 31 to 41 ish would be fair. This would only impact energy vs energy battles and would help ensure the yoyo effect is lowered slightly. yoyo effect: a mech that has 69 energy currently can do 721 energy damage. It can make energy very luck/who goes first rather than skill and positioning.

    Hello fellow mech pilots!
    As you all know the grind can be a lot in the game and therefore I would like to a range of topics over the next few weeks to create suggestions to improve this. Please keep in mind these suggestions are only my own opinion and not that of Gato Games. Of course if you also have suggestions please feel free to make them below but please keep on topic! Each of these threads will be dedicated to a certain area to ensure the discussion is focussed on a key area. If your point is not to do with the key area then feel free to make your own thread!
     
    Item Limit
    The item limit was added as we moved to reloaded and hit a lot of players hard. It has never been liked and has even ruined some accounts due to having tens of thousands of items. 
    Now that we have gotten used to the item limit it does have some large negatives:
    In a game that certain items are hard to find it forces you to chuck away the ones you do have.  To boost up items you have to do multiple iterations of buying - boosting - even when you have the money to do so. You can only buy 5 slots at a time and the cost increases every time.  Forces pilots to hoard boxes unable to open them due to a full inventory and may not have the time/money to boost.  But it also has some positives:
    Loading your inventory takes less time. New players are forced to learn about boosting.  
    Overall I feel the item limit is just too restrictive when it doesn't need to be. I also expect the server work from a few extra item slots would not be a massive impact to the game. Therefore I would like to recommend the following changes to reduce this impact:
    Change inventory increase size from 5 to 25 in terms of slot size. Change inventory cost from to be half the current cost per 5 slots.  Add an inventory limit of X spaces (suggested 1000). Anyone that reaches above this due to the above changes would get premium boxes equating to the amount of reds you would be owed.  Give players an extra 50 slots per 50 levels. (50, 100, 150, 200, 250)

    I just imagine if you lost at one moment account that you created for many years. And someone said why you keep trying.
    It's not the players' fault. Kong players shouldn't be worse than others.

    GATO believes that Kong players represent only 1-2% of total. But I see that Trolls lost 5 players, we lost one player, whole clan of Top 10 was destroyed (JASMS). At Top level this is not at all 1-2% for whole game. This is much more significant. GATO would be worth taking better care of players who have spent several years to grow to that level.

    Miron don’t . Don’t come here on a valid topic and tell us how we can try to be better . I know how your clan got better . Players are competitive by nature . They want to be better because they have a fire to do so. My question was HOW COULD A PLAYER WHO. CHOOSES NOT TO SPEND OR CHEAT close the gap with those rewards ? I now understand Wepwawet implying that these barricades cause players to use hacks and cheat. Word on the street is  Some clans even use hacks as a recruiting tool.

    Incorrect or missing clan war boxes have been a problem for years, quite literally. At last count I was owed 3 S+ and one S box between being in RR and RF dating to Sarah247’s disappearance, but support messages go unanswered on this topic.
    Personally, I think CLAN WAR SHOULD BE REMOVED and REDESIGNED because it’s boring and creates vast inequity between many levels of players. Just another layering ploy to slow the game down.
    Makes it really tough on players who are new or who are in weak clans:
    1. What is a rank 15 or above player going to do with a bunch of common and rare relics? 
    2. How is a R12-1 player to improve if they have no possibility for E-L relic rewards? 
    If given enough time, I think Gato will solve the problems. The list is long, but Alexander and team are making progress.
    Keep in mind that Tacticsoft made the mess... Gato is attempting to clean it up. Hang in there, L4KE.
