Your thread is much deeper than it seems. So much so that it exceeds the purpose of this forum.
I'm not going to get into the bad criticism towards payers, because at some point I was also a payor and I had my personal reasons for it. At the time, the game helped me to get out of a situation of work stress, although looking at the distance now, I could have paid 10 psychologists with what I invested here.
But the first myth is that rank 1 players are the best. That isn´t like that. I know of several rank 1 players with fabulous inventories who play terribly poorly. All their merit consists in having paid a lot (which would not be a virtue, but a cult of ignorance, in the best of cases).
The second myth is that rank 1 players get better rewards. Definitely not! For weeks I´ve struggled to reach rank 1 on the last day. With my outdated inventory it's quite an achievement! And for what? I only get 5 epics from the weekly reward box, I've forgotten the last time I got a legy´s
So for all this, this week I´ve decided to keep as low as possible. I'm between rank 4 and rank 3 and I feel more comfortable there. Unfortunately I can't go down to rank 15 even if I wanted to. I play with an energy troll and a free energy heat. I use the troll to go down if I go up a lot, and when I´m quite low at rank 4, I start the free energy heat.
I haven´t bought for 9 months and I think I will never buy again, so I will surely go down the rank more and more, which is fine for me. It isn´t that I have lost the will to compete, only that I´m well aware that I can no longer compete on the high ranks, but the inner satisfaction of having mastered the habit of paying to play is my greatest reward. I feel like I´ve a gold star every week for that.

Supposedly BestPlayer passed away 3 months ago. I´m not convinced that she really passed away, but Im sure that she wanted to leave the game and she did it her way. Either one thing or the other, she´s no more.
Someone has Betsy's account, maybe Reiko or Happy Poppers himself or neither.

Well then I'm happy about that word "basically", because that means that not all game developers think that stimulating interest on gambling in children and adolescents is right.
It depends on the neighborhood in which you move. If you live in a neighborhood where most people steal and you haven´t seen how the rest of the people live, you will surely think that stealing is good and normal, because "everyone does it".
Surely, when you go to buy shoes, take a good look at what you are going to buy, try on, choose, review, ask before opening your wallet. That´s what we all do! But here people open their wallets without asking anything and without the right to return.
Then, someday someone will take the bull by the antlers and put limits to this liveliness of game developers where 4 cats living to naturalize the interest in gambling in the minds of very young people who still lack life experience to determine what is right and what is wrong.
What a shame that a person has studied and dedicates so many hours of work to a profession as noble as the development of a game should be (one of the best contributions that someone can make to a society), to end up making money with the bets of loot boxes. The world upside down.

I guess the absence of BestPlayer hit HTK very hard. That clan can survive without Gorgon and even Happy Poppers, but the lack of Betsy is too much. I think the only one who could rebuild HTK is The Hunter (Optimus), but I don't know if he has time to do it.

As for Ivar, he´s Cadbunny and Cadbunny is one of the most unstable players on the game. Lately he had found some stability in Reign, because according to what they say someone was investing money on his account. I don´t know. Nor do I know if he was still piloting the acc or was someone else. What I can say is that cadbunny is totally unstable, you never know how long you can count with him.

I'm F2P, but let's go into a hypothetical scenario:
 
I just got 50 euros for my birthday and, being in lockdown, and with nothing better to spend it on, I open SuperMechs and buy 2,900 tokens, great. Now, I'm experienced so I keep the tokens, and wait until there is a good deal. It is now Saturday, increased drop rates, yay! The item looks really cool, but what does it do, idk, and for the sake of this argument let's say I'm not active on the forum, so effectively I am paying for something unknown. Now let's suppose, just for cleanliness, that you have saved up 450 tokens, amounting to a total of 3350 tokens. So you decide to spend your tokens on an item with an unknown increased drop rate, for a pack with no reliable legendary drop rate information, and for an item whose function you have no idea. Does this seem fair, no! It's not only unfair, but illogical and frankly disrespectful, if I paid to get packs, I would certainly wish to know and be entitled to knowing the chances of me getting what I want, and what the item I'm buying is. Hell, even casinos tell you the chances of winning, and even cigarette brands tell you it is dangerous. 
 
To sum it up:
Anything you can buy in a game should tell you the chances, be it packs, fortune boxes or base items. This includes increased drop rate packs, this means that if you have a 20% chance of pulling the new item, it should be stated on the pack. This should also extend to letting the customer know what they are paying for. I do not know any other service which you pay for, but do not have the vaguest idea what it does. For someone with little experience, the damaged armour annihilator, could be the phys version of bunker shell and magma blast.

I'll tell you the best to stay in.
For Beginners:
- Stay in rank 20 to 16, until completed a 75% of your first mech.  Mainly Maxed out 4 weapons to Myth, Maxed out legs and torso, and have at-least 4-5 modules full legendary.
- Stay at rank 7-6 if you have 2 mechs that can stay in that rank.
- Stay at rank 3 when you have 2 mechs that are 95% completed, or better. Rank 3 prize boxes are better. (I never gotten a legendary from a rank 1)

Since i joined this new forum, i've been very inactive so decided to make a topic, i hope this go well and no flame wars.
So if you have read the title, i think you will sure say "Are you brain dead? Rank 1 is the best rank in the game of course!"
I have think about this for since i left the old forum. Yes, rank 1 has a lot of cool, famous and good players, have very good droprates that the lower ranks can't have (i guess lol).
But it also has some disadvantages like you must be very strong to get to this rank which led to you have to become a P2W to get there fast or become a F2P that grind super insane and they affect your time, money and mental health just to get rank 1 in a [REDACTED] game. With that time, health and money you can spend them for better things like buying a house, a car, get a better degree, get a job or even have a family.
So I have been thinking which rank have the most entainment we can reach without grinding too much or spend money.
My opinion is rank 15 because you don't even have to play for 30+ minutes per day to reach for it and rewards are decent too (you can get legendary with a low change but that is enough for me anyway, it is about 2-10%). Don't trust me? Just do an experiment if you have enough free time and see for yourself.

I have got suggestion;
What about making next few enviroments? Big Boy is very easy. Just 2-3 days of active playing, and you beat him. In 2v2 is way harder. You fight 2 mechs at once, but made of legendaries, not heavily nerfed epics. 3v3 is just extreme. There are mythicals. I know, Big Boy has got one, but it is just faint. 3v3 would be same as now, because it's almost unbeatable in insane mode.
And I really want store comeback, beacause we just loved this. Your favourite cards were just waiting in store to buy. The only rarity you can't buy is divine, because it would make no sense. But when you wouldn't accept it, you can make something similiar, but this will be making [selecting the item what you want to make will cost more] card in item factory.

I'm hoping that the result is that energy isn't over-buffed.  I'm hoping the result is that all three types are about equal in the game in the future.  That way newbies don't feel like they screwed up by building an energy mech, for example.  That's a very common feeling, by the way.
Just FYI, I don't think I'll ever be in favor of nerfing anything.  Except Frantic Brute, because the last nerf didn't go far enough 🙂 

I'm not so sure that before it was very different from now, at least since I played at the beginning of 2016. What I think is that we change, but not the game ... I mean, so many years of the same, you get disappointed and start to realize how mediocre this game is.
Analyzing ...
* There were favorite and protected players. Players who obtained extra advantages for themselves and for their clans.
* There were players who hung on the ear of the administration. Advertising the game on YouTube and getting a lot of klappers was always a way to even get your sins forgiven.
* There were many cheaters and the game was easier to hack. But cheaters from before had codes though. The matter changed upon the arrival of Shiro Clan. Codes finished.
* Trolling and smurfing were also there. And many account thieves.
* There were management-sponsored imbalances to stimulate purchases. Just like now.
* The f2p player was always considered sandbag for payers to have fun. The difference is that before it was easier for f2p to get tokens, because there was transfer from one account to another and Supersonic was enabled (which was always an important source to obtain free tokens).
Maybe in the days before 2016 it might be better, but I wasn't there.
PS: and by the way, since we're talking about old times, I miss "bestplayer" a lot. Without Betsy the game seems messy and this forum without her is increasingly boring.

That's my point. It is not wrong tho that this match didn't worth the time. 2 entire hours just to win a match while this match wasn't very important at all.
I have to admit that pusher builds are good and players who successfully pilot pusher builds are skilled. However...I really haaaaate pusher builds lol. I know they are good but they are annoying. Really annoying aaaa. in legacy i really hated the pusher repair drone mechs. Anyway, also its nothing personal at all, but i haaate Bobson's pushers , especially Bobson's energy pusher mechs, i hate em , i hate em aaa. (lol)

yea..I cannot be bothered to take this game seriously anymore. I ve always had personal goals i wanted to achieve in SM but..the game's current state isn't helping me at all. There are several players who are on the top while they weren't supposed to be. Some aren't supposed to have the weapons they currently possess, while others entire account's aren't supposed to exist. Who would expect that the game would become such a lie, that even solo medals would lose their value, therefore damaging players who actually deserved their victories or benefit frauds who barely face actual opponents in arena, other than the alts they use to boost with. This really pisses me off. I always knew tho that such games are not worthy of money. I wasn't able to spend money on this game either way but, even if I was, i don't think I would. I can't tell if the game's state will improve but, I can tell that the consequences of its current state, that really are gross and manipulative, cannot be eraised. And that's my problem.
 
I really miss legacy sm..not just the gameplay but it's community as well. I still have unfinished goals i never managed to fulfill bc the game was reloaded before i manage to achieve them on time. I wonder what my legacy pals - that have quitted since long ago- would think of me having stayed that long lol. "Mano you baka, what have you been up to" they would think.

Don't be mad Manolis ... this game is a joke. Look at the one on first place now, level 83 and all divinized. It isn´t known if  is another alt account of the unnameable, the original account that changed its name and flag, or another sorcerer's apprentice.
Don't take it seriously, it's not worth it. For weeks I've been struggling to reach rank 1 on the last day and only get epics from the reward box. So I think the lowest rank box is better even though it has 1 less item.
The important thing is: not to be tempted to put real money here.

I said it wasn't a foreign possibility considering how they threw their assets away without much warning.
