Felt like killing time before I head out, for a while. I claimed upgrade kits, and did the extra ad item. The grappling hook was in it. lol.. I was hoping for another kit.

We've evaluated this thread and would like to explain a few things: 

When we bought the game we first took the time to see how Tacticsoft's event schedule plays out, how people respond to them, how we feel playing with them and so on. A few things we concluded, concerning portals specifically, I felt like, frankly, they were extremely boring. 
You click the mission, click auto-pilot and get your reward. No thinking, no strategy, no workshop required. If new, you may have to struggle a bit for the higher levels (if you feel like it), but really, even then, it's not strategy, it's just that you don't hit the required numbers yet. 
Said reward wasn't bad per se, a free 30-45 tokens (40-50 cents) for clicking 2 buttons isn't the worst of deals, but I wouldn't call it "fun"  and I personally believe games should aim to be fun first and foremost, rather fun than balanced, rather fun than fair, rather fun than anything else. We play to entertain ourselves, after all. 
So we began experimenting.
 
Ultimately I hoped with harder portals, people would learn more about the game, play more in the workshop, think more on their actions and turn off the darn autopilot. We felt that, after struggling to finish it, they should feel like it was worth it (a sense of achievement and satisfaction) so we combined this with drastically higher reward reflecting the up to 30 minutes you may be spending on it (or more, if you're less experienced / have a lesser inventory). 

Simultaneously, we felt this gave both motivation to improve your mech (better rewards) before you get into multiplayer, and more tokens for f2p-ers and small spenders to attempt to rise up a bit. With Hard and Easy you'd be pretty close to a premium pack and once you've had a few, insane would be achievable with enough strategy, and it would be a case mostly of reducing required revives. 
 
This didn't really affect our business beyond perhaps a minor drop in income, we didn't see any correlation with retention or such (after all, newbs just kind of do what they can and go do something else if they can't manage yet, plenty of hard content that isn't doable for them yet in SM and they don't value tokens as much until they've stuck around for a few weeks to months already), but we hoped it would be more fun that way. I like a challenge and some early reactions I heard (frustration, persistence, and then great happiness on success) made me feel like we were on the right track. 
 
This however doesn't deafen us to criticism - it is clear some players feel very scammed by the likely need to revive, discriminated by the difficulty and the last thing we wanted to do here is scam our playerbase and ruin an event they like. 
 
As such, the next portal has been set to Tacticsoft's settings - slightly better gold than TS gave, the higher token option (45 opposed to 30) and slightly easier difficulty than the old TS ones so it should be achievable for every single player. A flat out improvement, even if not really my personal cup of tea, opposed to a potential 'ruin' of the portals. We intend to stick with this for the foreseeable future pending feedback.

I’m getting the impression it’s getting harder for Alexander to come up with new sales’ items, so this must represent an easy, no brainer, go-to solution, hence the increasing frequency of this type of sales.
Alexander’s go-to sale is definitely no child’s pocket change at $70. So, this must be a move away from Tacticsoft’s children marketing into the adult marketing. Haha!
Good sale but way too expensive. Well, at least it’s a pro P2W sale. Luckily for me, it’s an easy sale to skip.

No shortage of premium packs here.
Although it’s true premium packs are needed to advance further into the game, premium packs’ (food packs) large RNG makes its purchase value considerable less than the guarantee sales.
If it were more affordable, I'd buy it as I’ve done previously. As it stands, I’m loaded on previous premium pack sales, so I’m not eager to buy more.
For me, buying premium packs is like buying socks, not really exciting stuff considering there are a lot of food items in it. At $70, I’m moving on to the next sale.
Hopefully, the next sale is more interesting. If not, I’ll be happy regardless since I’ll have an excuse not to spend more money in this game.

It is actually do able.  I'll share the build I used. Also you get 2 repair kits.
To play this out right:
Position:
- Buggy: Be in HB range, use it first. Then use Supreme Cannon and 2nd HB. The rest is simple
- Tank: Be in far range. Use drone. Then HB, and SC. Then use Savagery and the rest up to you
- Red Mechs: be in hb range. First move use drone. Next use SC, then HB. Then Savagery HB. Then Savagery.
- Boss: Be in HB range.  Use drone on first move. Then use HB.  If you get push back, that is great. Use savagery. If you get pulled, use MR. Then us the 2nd HB and Savagery or SC.  Just keep using savagery.

Mech with 2 heat bombs will clear it with no problem.

There can also be a scale of color for each item of what color you want it, in the garage.

Basic Paints should actually be free.  Free would be red, blue, white, yellow, green, orange, purple, black, pink, and brown.  Or, have a color scale where the color can be customized.   The other paints that are unique should be the only ones that cost tokens.

That basically sums it up.
Go to mobile phone to watch one ad. That activates ads to watch on laptop, computer, pc, whatever.
Then watch on Laptop one time, then refresh the game again.
 
Yep it is horrible that it must be done that way.  You get pop up ads during campaign, and get nothing. No extra gold, or tokens. Nothing. Yet to get tokens, you have to do it the hard way. How do you like them apples now.

That basically sums it up.

Actually, if you lose the ads it's most likely that unless you go on mobile and watch one the  you wont get them back. 

How to be a Reloaded Autopilot with a Shield:
Step 1: Deploy Drone on First Turn
Step 2: Deploy Shield as First Action on Second Turn
Step 3: Dispose of Every Unit of Energy with Reckless Abandon / Burn Yourself Alive from Heat with Reckless Abandon
Step 4: Win the Fight or Die due to the Reckless Abandon from Step 3
Step 5: Don't Question about What Went Wrong during that Fight
And:
Step 3.5: Regain Energy or Cool Heat Level down and Redeploy Shield. Repeat Step 3 until Shield goes Down then Repeat this Step

Sounds like a great idea.. But there's just one very small problem with that..
Since legacy items are outdated due to having way lower damage and having heavier weight than reloaded items, would there be a point of creating a legacy portal for those items?
I would honestly enjoy that idea, don't get me wrong, but I'm also thinking out loud about this and well, only a few legacy items will be remotely usable nowadays.
