    In this topic, I’ll post what I believed to be some of the best of the best OLDER meta/top-tier builds. The point of this topic is to have a place to put all former meta builds, as many of them will be helpful for the vast majority of players (to use as a reference point and something they can build into over time).
    META = Most Effective Tactics Available (ie. what's the best build in game to help you climb the ladder in arena). Note this isn’t a build help thread. If you need build help, please go there.

    That sounds good. It might help those guys trying to move up. Can be all kind of old metas way back and can help lower rankers to get some ideas with their limited inventory and can't figure out even having some basic parts for it. Kudos. 👍

    Yeah that's a really good idea and something I actually thought about a few times before deleting the old builds.
    After another thought, I think you're right. I'll go ahead and make a thread on "former meta builds" or something similar which will basically be a place where we can dump prior meta builds (that would still be good in future, although not "meta")

    just curious, when you update the meta builds in this best current meta builds, what happen to the previous meta?
    Maybe you should have a thread of former meta since new parts change often the layout of the game. Maybe players with limited parts can look after and help them to do some not having enough to make current. Maybe here all is there but just wondering if you have something already in place that I do not know in this new forum. 🤔

    tbh, I don't really watch SM content, it kind of is boring to me, so don't take it personally, but I dont really subscribe to any SM youtubers lol

    I think 2 resist drainers is unnecessary - 1 really is the max. With 2, you waste 2 hits shooting them off (versus doing heat damage) and you lose hp twice. I think only having 1 is probably best build in game atm; I’m still figuring out whether the drainer version is better than non drainer version, but I’m leaning yes.

    I think Valiant Sniper is fine as is. I believe most players play it for the energy drain component (versus damage - although that can do quite well if opponent is fully drained). With that being said, the proposed changes I think are too drastic (of a buff) for Valiant. 
    (This "nerf" seems like a "buff" to me.)

    For the trade of -30 energy damage in exchange for +12 regen damage and +60/88 electric damage (!!), I think the new Valiant would both be strong in energy damage, regen damage, and electrical damage. Additionally, the 12 regen damage somewhat has a "breakeven" point of ~3 turns (12*3 = 36 which is a bit more than 30 damage missed). So assuming Valiant is used and the match lasts more than 3 turns, the -30 energy damage with +12 regen damage generally results in net positive for the Valiant owner from original version. Plus, you don't even need to drain the opponent to do increased damage; as it's already raw damage (electric damage). I think the effect this change would have would make Valiant way too strong.
    Perhaps a buff may be needed for Valiant (a very very small one), but I can't support OP's proposed changes. =P
