Debate: Does a Straw have 1 hole or 2 holes

Does a Straw have one hole or 2 holes and why?

Pretty sure it is one because a single cut down the Length of the straw would cause “the hole” to open up?

Personally im split on the topic, Logically if you were to cut the straw in half on one side it would turn into a square, thus meaning it has one hole, but at the same time when its a straw it has 2 holes, depending on which was you choose

Actually 0, Indeed, according to this image, the angle of view does not allow you to see any holes in the straw, maybe it is a clogged straw..?

Forgot to give an explanation of my opinion on it, so here it is:

Normally a hole goes through two opposite sides of an object (commonly top and bottom). For example, when you open the top of a box, there isn't a hole in the box. But when you open the top AND bottom of a box, it does have a hole in it. So, a straw has only one very long hole.

I think it is only when opening the top and bottom of the box, but you could be right...

A tunnel is an open section in i.e. a mountain. The tunnel itself is the open section in an object, and thus it isn't a hole.
