  1. TO be fair, the MBTI isn't completely scientific. But it's a lot closer to being scientific than nearly every personality test out there except the Big Five (the only scientificly validated one). Also, keep in mind that introversion and extroversion, thinking and feeling, etc, the factors, are a spectrum or a range. It's not a yes/no. And keep in mind personality changes over time. You should, usually, become more balanced as you get older and/or grow as a person.
  2. No, it's not obnoxious. Saying we just need to add 220 hit points to all energy torsos is 1) illogical 2) absurd. Some suck way more than others. To make them all competitive, they each would need a different amount of buffing.
  3. @Lord Gorgon I think this is a good idea but I think just adding 220 hp across the board isn't a good solution because some of those old torsos suck more than others. May I provide a statistically-based guess as to what to buff their hit points to? Each torso would be slightly different.....
  4. I am proposing an alternative, and I think his proposal of 220 hp across the board to all those torsos isn't good. It fails to take into account that some of those older torsos are already pretty sucky, and would need more HP to make them worth using, versus others are already pretty good and would only need a gentle nudge. My figures are based on running statistical numbers to guess at what point they would be worth using versus a monkey torso. I can provide the equation if desired. EDIT: Also, if you want I can provide numbers for all the torsos in one new thread....
  5. Did anyone see the new achievement(s) today? I would like to express my thankfulness for the Win 5 Arena Matches achievement. 100 Fuel is nice. Thanks, @Alexander!
  6. Exactly. And if you're in flash already, i think the way to save your progress is to go to "create account."
  7. Once again, this post is about the bigger picture of buffing energy mechs to make them at least competitive against physical and heat. I feel that Grim Reaper has good capacities but suffers from a lack of hit points. I think that buffing hit points to 1190 would make it about on equal footing with the monkey torsos because it has higher energy. This could mean that someone could recover hit points with this torso by using fewer energy engines (perhaps) and then putting more armor modules. But I'm new to this game and I'm only arena rank 11. What do you all say? Would buffing it to 1190 hp be good? At 910 hp, Grim Reaper is currently about the worst energy torso in the game (in my opinion).
  8. Another idea thread. Yeah, I'm an idea person, a natural brain-stormer, but I need help from those who have played this game longer to know if something is a good idea. So please give me your collective wisdom here. My thought process is buffing energy so that it's at least competitive again. I think that if Naga is to be a viable torso, i.e. to compete with the hit point craze caused by the monkey torsos, it should get buffed to 1300 hit points. (I actually did calculations: I didn't copy my other suggestion about LPV). What do you think? Would buffing it to 1300 hp make it more viable?
  9. I think buffing Lightning Platinum Vest is about the only way to make it seriously competitive with the monkey torsos. But I am a new player, so let's make this a poll. Would buffing it to (divine) 1300 hit points make it a more serious contender?
  10. No, you can say it. Grim reaper is not good. Sure, it's better than a torso that cannot climb to divine tier, sure. But it's definitely not good. I jumped one arena rank level just by getting a rusty energy armor in a PP and mything it. I'm not ashamed to say it: Grim Reaper became food. ---------- REPLY TO MAIN TOPIC ---------- In my opinion, maybe. But I think instead some torsos that don't go above epic should be instead considered as candidates to become divine without screwing up the meta too much. Like Anubis. It looks cool but it don't go past epic. Rework it so that it is divine-capable and roughly equal to a monkey torso by the time it gets to divine. This will mean it has less hit points, so let's be honest. My proposal for an Anubis that now goes to Divine: 365 weight 1530 hit points 356 energy cap 112 regen 200 heat cap 64 cool 22 physical resistance 22 heat resistance 16 electrical resistance
  11. Energy is horribly UNDER-powered and you want to reduce the power of Hot Flash? With all due respect, this idea is complete and utter garbage. Also, given the heat cost of Hot Flash, I think you missed something. Honestly, it's taken a very long time just to see ONE energy player main in the top 10 of the arena. People would point out that there are no energy mechs in the top ten, and hardly at all in the top 5 arena, every time I would gush about how I like playing energy. Only in the last month has this changed. Also, I feel like you're overlooking weapons that NEED to be nerfed, of which the only I can think of is the frantic family of weapons. Practically every weapon in energy should get a 5% buff at least just to hopefully put energy on more equal footing with physical. I don't use Hot Flash. Against a heat mech, it's a liability. Malice Beam is far more useful. Malice Beam is better because it doesn't cost a metric krap ton of heat. Given how weak energy is in this game right now, the LAST thing we need to be thinking about is nerfing something in energy. I don't know if I would call 21 more energy drain worth it compared to the extra 98 heat it costs. Against a heat mech, it's a liability. The high heat cost doesn't justify an extra 21 energy drain, in my opinion. The only reason I'd consider the Hybrid Energy Cannon worth using over Malice Beam is the extra 15 energy capacity damage it deals. But ironically, it deals more energy damage and costs less heat than Hot Flash. The only advantage Hot Flash has is that you can fire it energy-free. But let's be real here: if you're expecting to get energy broken and you're carrying two Hot Flashes, you're probably lower arena rank AND you're probably going to get destroyed by the first heat mech you see (because most lower ranking don't have enough heat cap or cool to handle two of them for very long versus a heat mech). In fact, I smile when I am going up against an energy mech with Hot Flash because usually their heat cap sucks, and my weapons are selected for their ability to kill their heat cap anyways. Sure, I'm basically arena rank 10, so I am not some pro. I've been playing for 3 months. But it's worth pointing out. But if you don't mind a slight tangent, let's be real here: a similarly configured heat mech will kill a similarly configured energy mech, i.e. savagery vs hysteria, malice vs corrupt, etc. With the F2P config I just listed, by about 800 hit points. I've ran simulation after simulation in WU, and I don't think making the heat cap 1000 will save the energy mech from the heat mech, if both mechs have basically the same heat cap and cooling. Equip the energy mech with Hot Flash and keep Corrupt Light on the heat mech and the energy mech just gets their butt kicked harder than before: by around 1400 hit points. That's with a typical 3 heat engines, 3 energy engines, one iron plating, "monkey" torso and massive legs, and Torment and Nemo drones respectively, etc. In F2P, Hot Flash is a liability. It doesn't matter how "good" a weapon is if you can't "afford" the heat/energy to fire it. Make that 4 heat engines and 3 energy engines in both mechs and the heat mech, similarly configured except heat has corrupt light vs energy has hot flash, and the heat mech is still kicking the energy mech's butt by about 700 hit points. Hot Flash is more useful becoming food for better weapons.
  12. I don't know about nerfing physical so much as buffing energy and heat. But I will be the first to complain about Desolation. It's hardly a heat weapon. It's a physical weapon that pretends to be heat lol. Even though I may end up being a dual desolation user, and I have two of them, I still thought the goal of heat was to shut down your enemies. Maybe I'm naive or new or something, but still, wasn't that the point? If the point is to do more physical damage than your opponent, doesn't that make you a physical mech? I'm not sure where I stand on this. I think the better solution though is, instead of nerfing things (which almost always pisses people off) is to buff energy and heat. And to make Frantic Brute literally a 2-shot Spartan Carnage. Like, literally all the stats of Spartan Carnage but then change it to two shots. Then adjust the frantic flame and frantic lightning to basically be the heat/energy equivalent of a 2-shot spartan. That way people don't complain that only the physical frantic got nerfed.
  13. Absolutely. I can see some of the OP's complaint being valid. I would prefer that there is some sort of 2 factor authentication when logging in from a new location/device. I would like to see some sort of secret question/answer function for changing your password, etc. But giving someone your username and password is a very very stupid thing to do, so I agree with you mostly, Raul.
  14. Maybe. It could be sort of like equipping two large weapons (LRM20 or Gauss Rifle) to a mech in the BattleTech universe at that point. You sacrifice all the other weapons you could be using and the weight for the weapon(s). In my opinion, however, it would need to be even heavier, maybe even to 100 kg.
  15. Here is an example of music that would sound post-apocalyptic. I was hoping we could amp this up, in the sense that if we might be able to offer a sort of ad-free music in-game. This would look like very brief, small notifications on screen of what artist and song is playing. Then reach out to the cyberpunk, synthwave, and other apocalyptic-sounding artists (Deadmau5, etc.) and see if they are willing to offer their music royalty free. Basically, they get free advertisement in game, we get free music that is ad-free or as close to ad-free as possible. People would still be able to disable the in-game music. I would volunteer to reach out to artists and see who is interested. I would imagine placing a very small, not intrusive status "strip" in the game (like in the gold or hit points area) of what is playing would be the best way to maximize this. I would say things like this would work very well:
  16. CleverName, you're awesome, but I don't think that's something you need to do on your own. I was starting this topic to see if I could get some of those areas of the forum opened up and people submitting their inputs. But at the same time, I'm not saying that to discourage you, but instead to thank you for your help. On a side note, I'm very interested in a heat hugger meta that someone told me you run from time to time
  17. Can we please get some good builds in here? I know this is sort of like asking content from the old forum to get added to this forum, and I know it's Christmas, and we're all busy. But it would be helpful. Thank you for everything you do, Gato Games and Alexander.
  18. I don't think the game code needs to be changed that way. One can just change the stats on items without introducing new code, I would guess (i.e. the database of item statistics).
  19. Everyone gave me gift cards. So here's how it went down: $75 amazon, gave it to wife and spent $75 on SuperMechs tokens. Then $50 of my own money on SuperMechs for tokens (self-gift). Then parents gave me $50, which went to SuperMechs tokens. I got a quad core booster and a Rusty Energy Armor (and many other items), so I'm pretty happy with that.
  20. I'm interested to know what people would put on my physical mech. Here are all the items I have. What would you use? (Think future build, too. You can pick epic weapons, and I'll just upgrade them.) Backbreaker, legendary level 40 rock recoiler, epic level 7 unrepaired laser cannon, epic level 4 nightfall, mythic level 25 annihilation, mythic level 1 night eagle, legendary level 2 reckless beam, legendary level 40 tonto, legendary level 1 Hurlbat, epic level 1 Selfish Protector, epic level 1 Iron Plating: max Savior Resistance: max You can get rid of the grappling hook, charge, and/or teleport but you can't change the heat or energy modules (so you have only one module slot to use).
  21. I am SUPER jealous! lol I would love to own just one Bloodweep.
  22. My Christmas crate from SuperMechs. Thanks @Alexander ! Now my inventory is clogged lol
  23. I don't think that's a very easy second solution there.
  24. Please don't say "scammed." It's just a malfunction, and Alexander, the good CEO he is, fixed it for ya.
  25. Thank you, everyone, for helping me with advice. Thanks to you, I finally made it into level 9 for the first time.
