Migrating from Kongregate to SuperMechs.com

Hi all, 

 

After discussing the Kongregate situation with their director of player relations, we've received permission to transfer certain data (inventories, levels) from Kongregate accounts to new accounts. This is an emergency option for those who are not willing to wait for Kongregate to potentially fix SuperNova. 

Please PM us on Kongregate after creating a new SuperMechs account here (*not in game, in game accounts will not be considered under any circumstances*) using Internet Explorer (or other old browsers, modern ones _will not_ work): https://forum.supermechs.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=register 

PM us the chosen username and we will proceed with the transfer for you. Please note that there may be bugs or loss of some progress in some cases, we will do our best to make things as smooth as possible. Your SM account on Kongregate will most likely no longer function after this.

 

So, again, steps:

  1. Create a new SuperMechs Account using Internet Explorer on the old forums, not via the game
  2. PM us on Kongregate with the username of your new supermechs account, ideally with the following form: 
    Username of your newly created SM Account as made per instruction:
    Kongregate PlayerID (if you know it): 
    Do you agree with the transfer of your player data, regardless of potential losses or risks, bricking your Kongregate SuperMechs account: Yes/No

    This can only be done once, the PM must be sent from the Kongregate account that you used to log into SuperMechs. 

 

SuperNova will most likely not work after this, even if it is fixed in the future on Kongregate. This is a destructive action that may only be done once and can never be reversed.

could you be a little more specific?

If I made a video of my inventory it could check if something is missing and restore it right?

Could permanent and irreversible bugs occur?

Why Internet Explorer ? i used chrome ...

I can not, and we can not. Sorry. 

Yes, permanent and irreversible bugs may occur. This is not something that is meant to (ever) happen. If continuing via Kongregate is an option for you, I highly recommend that.

Correct. May be, it might depend on when your kongregate account was made or such.

Yes, this is why IE is mandatory 😛

The old account system was never updated to work with other browsers. 

 

 

 

 

Making a smoother process would be weeks/months of work, this particular process should do the trick but is insufficiently tested and underdeveloped. Simply put, we made the call that it's better to get _something_ as an option now, than to create an option we can provide guarantees for in march.

Nr1. Have you tested it with some account successfully? If not i might have an secondary account you could try it on.

nr2. Will unused tokens move also?

Nr3 Do i need to use windows installer here http://supermechs.com/ to play after the change? and does that work with out supernova or any other tricks?

They have at least a few weeks. We'll state it when we're about to stop.

I sent the migration's request 6 days ago , during the week i was still able to login into kongregate to play , today the game doesn't works ...

I tried to download the desktop app for windows , i tried to login with the new user/password (from the migration' request) and at the beginning was loading but after a bit i have a screen where i can login only with facebook or like a new player ...

@Alexander , can you give me some news ? what can i do ?

Bonjour Alexander j’envoie une demande de transfert maintenant il ya 9 jours et toujours rien. J’aurais aimé savoir si ma demande a été bien reçue merci .
