I'm not so sure that before it was very different from now, at least since I played at the beginning of 2016. What I think is that we change, but not the game ... I mean, so many years of the same, you get disappointed and start to realize how mediocre this game is.
Analyzing ...
* There were favorite and protected players. Players who obtained extra advantages for themselves and for their clans.
* There were players who hung on the ear of the administration. Advertising the game on YouTube and getting a lot of klappers was always a way to even get your sins forgiven.
* There were many cheaters and the game was easier to hack. But cheaters from before had codes though. The matter changed upon the arrival of Shiro Clan. Codes finished.
* Trolling and smurfing were also there. And many account thieves.
* There were management-sponsored imbalances to stimulate purchases. Just like now.
* The f2p player was always considered sandbag for payers to have fun. The difference is that before it was easier for f2p to get tokens, because there was transfer from one account to another and Supersonic was enabled (which was always an important source to obtain free tokens).
Maybe in the days before 2016 it might be better, but I wasn't there.
PS: and by the way, since we're talking about old times, I miss "bestplayer" a lot. Without Betsy the game seems messy and this forum without her is increasingly boring.

As I said in another thread, the ads to get tokens haven´t appeared on my computer for many months. Admins will not fix this, because they don't care.
What you need to do is see at least 1 ad on your mobile, that enables the ads on your computer. You must do it every day to get your 60 daily tokens.
Some weird things will happen:
* When you try to do it for the first time on mobile it will tell you that there is no reward available. Please try again until the ad appears. Sometimes you have to try more than 10 times.
Good luck!
PS: To avoid annoying ads in the game make a small purchase, very small, less than $ 1 (you can do it with your mobile) and try to keep that small amount of purchased tokens unused.

It doesn´t matter if it is about 10k players or if there are only 10. When you register in the game you must accept the "Terms of Service", which seems like a Negative Confession, you will not do this ... you will not do this other ... but isn't the game administration committed to keeping the game in good shape?
If I were any of you I would seek help outside of the game. Even legal advice if necessary. Because the player here isn´t responsible for looking for any operational solution. Supermechs made a deal with Kongregate and did it because it served they, as Kongregate brought they new players. And while things went well, Supermechs made as much of that contract as it could.
Some players invested money, others invested time, but the most important thing was they invested trust and good faith. And while trust and good faith seem to be under-appreciated goods here, it also come at a price.
Guys, you guys are right. Don't leave empty handed.

That is why I stopped investing money on this game. Everything seems to be pinned on here. You never know when something will happen and the administration will tell you that "they are doing everything possible", but doesnt give you any certainty.
And what could worry me the most, like any Supermech player (whether from Kong or not), is that one day I have a problem and they tell me that there is no solution because I haven't paid to play for 1 year and therefore there are no money to invest in solving my issue .... hell! Everything that the game raises is supposed to be used to run the whole game. It´s the risk in this kind of business. And if what you collect is not enough, then there is something you are doing wrong or your project is not good.
Of everything that was said here, I think that's the worst part is that will not be spent money on a good solution because Kong players have not invested enough.

All very well, until your final comment. The way you say it´s rude. But this isn´t the first time that I have observed, even on the BattleDawn forum, that people in positions of trust sometimes behave with a degree of arrogance and rudeness.
I don't like the video stuff either. Although is fair to say, supermech videos are terribly boring. There must be nothing more boring in all of YT than SM battle videos.
And not. It isn´t illegal, or at least it is on the line between what is legal and what is illegal. A good professional could find the weak point in the matter. But beyond that, there is something called politeness and courtesy, which never hurts. Especially since many videos are made only to belittle other players and highlight the "achievements" of their author. It´s absolutely disgusting that Supermechs allows videos that are made to make fun of other players to be published on a public site outside the game.
All videos should have prior approval from the administration.

I find it hard to believe that Gato can't make a copy of this accounts and rebuild them outside of Kong. At least to those who request it, which wouldn´t be that many (I think).

Sometimes I don´t understand how little interest there is to find solutions to certain problems, as if losing accounts was not important, or at least the some players accounts. I think they have to find a way to solve it quickly, because every day these players lose, they are lost points that will later be very difficult to recover.

It was not a random phrase. Mohadib himself expressed it in the reasons he had for nerfing this weapon.
Today there are a lot of heat mech that carry weapons that need energy, but don´t charge energy modules. I mean, troll heat mechs. But it's the only way to deal with phys (at least on skull ranks).
Free energy heat is having a lot of trouble reaching rank 1. If Desolation were improved, free energy heat could face phys with a better chance. But I don't know if that would suit the "business".

The intention of this topic is very good, I adhere to 100 x 100.
However, this weapon was nerfed for a very petty reason that the f2p player didn´t deserve to have a VIP weapon. Mohadib thought it was too good to be an epic weapon.
I wish I had some evidence that the current administration is trying to help the f2p player, but so far I have not.

Actualmente es difícil llegar al puesto 1 con eso. Podrías hacerlo, si tienes mucha suerte. Es un mecanismo para rango medio de rango 3 o rango 2.
Te lo digo como usuario habitual de Free Energy Heat.
Buena resistencia, pero bajo nivel de enfriamiento. Es preferible que bajes un poco el calor máximo y establezcas un nivel superior a 300 de refrigeración.
Sé que te encantan tus resistencias, pero pondrías una multi para tener más espacio para mejorar tu nivel de enfriamiento y tu HP.
Debilidades:
* Piernas que avanzan 2 lugares, no podrás hacer nada con los mechs que disparan desde lejos (que son muchos ahora en el juego).
* Bajo nivel de enfriamiento (ya te lo dije).
* Problemas con Magma que solo tiene 1 uso. Sustituiría el dolor por uno de los magmas.
Este es mi calor de energía libre. Tengo el mismo problema que tú con piernas que van 2 lugares. Pero quité el drenaje de resistencia para mejorar el nivel de calor y fue mejor para mí.

Regarding the ads, just yesterday I responded to someone who couldn't enable them on the computer and since I've had this problem for months, I explained that you must first see an ad on your mobile to enable it on your computer. However, today I cannot see ads for free tokens on my computer or mobile.
I made the claim to GooglePlay and GooglePlay tells me to talk to the developer of game. So it's a gambling problem, but I guess nobody cares because are free tokens.

I don't buy tokens. For now I´m resisting the temptation to fall into marketing pretty well.
I spent my 1800 free tokens and only got 1 of these. It's good, but considering that heat is quite at the limit in everything, even finding a place to place 8 kg. means sacrificing something relatively important on the build.
Everything related to resistance is a value ... but in the case of heat build, a good heat and cooling level I think is more fundamental. If you miss shots by overheating, there is no resistance or resis drainer worth it.

Well ... is what I just wrote. Gato Games doesn´t prohibit you from having alt accounts. So don't tell me not to waste my time, because I'm not the one requesting that alt accounts be banned. (although we all know that it´s used to manipulate the Arena).
It always seemed to me that the IP ban, in addition to being imprecise, is an injustice if more than 1 member of the family or people who live together use the same computer.
I believe that there are things that can never be avoided such as manipulating Arena with alt accounts, trolling or smurfing. You can't fight it no matter how unpleasant is.

No. The new TOS from Gato Games. The old TOS of Tacticsoft banned alt accounts. The new TOS doesn´t prohibit them.
The new TOS from Gato Games not only doesn´t ban alt, but assumes that each player will have more than 1 account, when it says that you cannot use your alt accounts to transfer resources.

Gato Games will not do anything because according to the new Terms of Service isn´t prohibited to have multiple accounts. You must read the "fine print". In principle, what is not prohibited, is allowed.
Only transferring resources from one account to another, eg transferring tokens, is prohibited.
Nothing says the TOS about Arena manipulation using alt accounts.
So it would be a waste of time to protest or report the use of alt accs.

The logic indicates that alts favor Gato Games, as it increases sales if the player is a p2w or the time you spend viewing ads if you are a f2p player. Besides that outwardly, what is shown, is that the game has a significant player base. We know that it´s a makeup, but whoever sees the game from the outside, does not know it.
So, I wish you good luck, you will need it if you want to protest (and get any results) for the alt accounts.

If the problem is the manipulation of Arena, keep in mind that there are entire clans that work for other clans. Certain players have their main account in the main clan and the alt ones in the subsidiary clans.

I also bought it. Of course, just shit, I didn´t expect anything else and are also free tokens, so it doesn´t hurt ... and in fact I needed some legy´s garbage.
However, there is something that catches my attention on the game ... normally I´m between rank 3 and rank 2 and the quality of items that most of the players have, powerfully draws my attention.
Phys continues to dominate the game, to beat the phys I had to build an energy troll (there is no other way). Sometimes I use it and to be honest I do better with the troll than with 3 heat builds.
But I say ... is that people are buying so much that they have these items as difficult to obtain as the new resistance modules and the top weapons? With today's falling rates you have to invest a lot of money to get this. Are they really buying that much or does the cheating continue ...?
