    CleverName, you're awesome, but I don't think that's something you need to do on your own.  I was starting this topic to see if I could get some of those areas of the forum opened up and people submitting their inputs.  But at the same time, I'm not saying that to discourage you, but instead to thank you for your help.

    On a side note, I'm very interested in a heat hugger meta that someone told me you run from time to time 😉

    I don't think the game code needs to be changed that way.  One can just change the stats on items without introducing new code, I would guess (i.e. the database of item statistics).

    Here are all the items I have.  What would you use?  (Think future build, too.  You can pick epic weapons, and I'll just upgrade them.)

    Backbreaker, legendary level 40

    rock recoiler, epic level 7

    unrepaired laser cannon, epic level 4

    nightfall, mythic level 25

    annihilation, mythic level 1

    night eagle, legendary level 2

    reckless beam, legendary level 40

    tonto, legendary level 1

    Hurlbat, epic level 1

    Selfish Protector, epic level 1

    Iron Plating: max

    Savior Resistance: max

    You can get rid of the grappling hook, charge, and/or teleport but you can't change the heat or energy modules (so you have only one module slot to use).

    Mine runs, I just see a slight hesitation from time to time.  But I'm also running a DVD decode operation simultaneously.....

    It's just because the laptop is so new and I'm on Linux.  I'm sure in Windows it wouldn't do this.

    Thanks, Alexander, you rock.  I got a free legendary this morning that I didn't spend tokens on.  I will probably keep the current theme.

    Brand new Intel iRISx.  But this is Linux and this laptop is so new that Linux is using generic drivers, so I can't say my config is super overpowered.  I will try it in Windows shortly.

  8. I like it, but somehow because of the way it's being rendered, it lags a bit.  Brand new i7 laptop from Dell with 32GB RAM and 1 TB SSD in OpenSUSE Linux LEAP 15.2, using the Chrome browser.

    Yeah in my opinion, with as much as that build option costs, and that it's a "CHANCE OF" legendary rather than a guaranteed legendary, it's not worth it, in my opinion.  Sure, grinding away and making your own legendaries takes longer, but it's technically more efficient as far as gold is concerned (but not your time).

  10. My opinion as 3 month arena level 10 player:

    I've been using the base this whole time.

    Last night, even if I shouldn't have done so, since I had 1,000,000 gold and all three factories crafting 99 common items (they're the most efficient to fuse), I clicked the button to pay 200 tokens to get all 99 from a factory, twice.

    Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have done this, in hindsight.

    But last night I myth'd two items and legendaried one this morning, allowing me to very rapidly upgrade some modules after I got Quad Core Booster.

    When I wake up, I get gold and tons of items.

    The last week or so I had reached an equillibrium where my gold was 1 million to 1.25 million all the time.  I'm on the $5/month subscription and I was farming the krap out of the campaigns.

    It's technically slower, sure.  But it's the most efficient way I know to do things right now.

    I say the newbie who simply wants the base can do things efficiently if they never upgrade their factories (until like a year later when they're rank 1-5) and focus on upgrading their gold mines.  But I have yet to be able to scientifically test this.

    So for now, I like my base and don't see any reason to change it.  But I am also a newbie, so take that with a grain of salt.

    Right now all three of my factories are still max'd out with 99 common items being built.  I'm happy with how quickly I can upgrade things.  I'm not going to press the "tokens to get the items right now" button again, but the option to do so if I get impatient (but I won't do it next time) is still nice to have once in a while.

    I am just an arena rank 10 player, but I say do not nerf energy damage.  Keep it.

    Also, is it my imagination or is the energy damage 200 on WU? (i.e. without buffs).

    But I can agree with the bullet points above where you said it should get buffed.

If this was your mech, how would you configure the modules?  I know you may not agree with my choice on weapons, but I'm mainly interested in how to configure the modules.  I do not have any dual modules, and I have maybe four level 1 combined storage units, as well as the modules shown in this WU picture:

    Understood, but because having decent energy drain requires 2 x valiant snipers, please humor me and tell me what the best I can do with F2P energy drain weapons is (i.e. stormweaver, malice beam, hot flash, hysteria, etc.)

If my goal is to drain my enemy and reduce their energy capacity, what is the proper configuration for this?  Here's what I have so far, which is more or less what I'm currently using in the game.  I had extra weight so I put the Drunk Lightning on it, but I have a Broken Blizzard Dissolver in my inventory, as well as the normal blizzard dissolver.  If I get a Drunk Lightning, I'll use that only so that I have one more way to push someone back from range 2 in to range 3 so I can hit them with my Malice Beam.  I say F2P but eventually (since I'm not F2P) I'll have some premium items to supplement.  So please tell me if this is a good config to start off:

    Yeah, I looked at this a week or two ago and there were no energy mechs in top 10.  Now Mechzilla is in top ten so I must admit I was wrong: there are energy mech players in the top 10.  But granted, that's only recently.

    I can't say you're wrong because I'm only arena rank 11.  But I feel like this isn't correct because, again, the reason physical can ignore energy is dual modules and also the existence of energy-free weapons.  If one elemental type can totally ignore another, I feel like there's a fundamental problem.  Maybe a lot more would need to be changed about the game to fix energy meta, so I get it, and again, I'm not the ubermech.  I just feel like the existence of energy-free items is itself a problem.  If it's not super difficult to put at least 500 cap and 300 regen on a mech due to the existence of dual modules, i feel like one cannot say that making all weapons require energy would "break" heat.  Maybe heat would just have to adapt.

    If this would break heat instead because they'd be taking up module space to have better energy rather than tons of plat plates, then I think that goes back to physical being OP, which is yet another problem that might need to be fixed separately.
