For this I'd say to force him to change torso for the next round. The opponent hadn't called it out in the match, nor did you catch it before, so the first match is 'fair' so to say.
I'd say Raymond can move to the next round, but has to change only the torso to an energy one now. No other modifications to the build allowed such as mods as to still have a penalty for the mistake they made.

In lower ranks it's always less balanced compared to the higher ranks. I bet my left thumb that you can win some matches very easily as well, not even using your 2nd mech. Your opponents at that time might feel like you're smurfing as well.
There is nothing really you can do about smurfing, just take the loss and get on with your life.And lastly, do you know any games that have a ban policy for smurfing players? I surely don't, and I've played a lot of different competitive games with different ranks. You just simply can't ban players for following all rules and TOS but being a bad sport whilst doing so.

You do realise there are premium boxes and packs that have this, right?
Be happy there are fortune boxes, lots of other games require premium credits for 'chance to get something good' boxes, fortune boxes are free, farmable and can drop legendaries.

What you are saying now though is that you want to make less weapons that are easily acquirable for F2P players able to get into top ranks.

You stated you wanted to nerf the weapons because you can win with it if you are lucky. That means a lot of other weapons should be nerfed as well, if you don't want any luck dependency in this game. Maybe just nerf the whole physical element so that all weapons deal 300-400 damage?

Your answer is correct yea. Sometimes it bugs to my knowledge, but that's very rare.
Most of the times when you see top players without, or with a few replays they boosted their way up like Coddiwomple described.

Season reset drops you approximately 2 ranks. Without battles you will get the lowest reward, if you win a battle you will get the reward of the rank you are.

It's necessarily changing a number, it's more the power it needs to load you inventory, haven't you noticed that the game became slower and slower the more boxes you have?
