Why do we have the 1x speed in campaign?

Im still wondering why in the hell do we have a 1x speed option. Like i want to see someone using 1x speed in a campaign mission.

It makes the entire campaign experience slower, and its not efficient at all.

Like if OD6 is taking lets say 2:30 minutes, the 1x speed would make it literally 5 minutes.

Its the most useless thing in super mechs and yet, its still in the game.

I dare you to say one positive thing about 1x speed.

I use 1x a lot in raid 
lets say if I didn't hit high enough, I quickly quit and re-try 

for campaign, I sometimes switch to 1x just to admire some weapons

That's because it is the default speed at which the mechs move, removing the x1 speed would be stupid if you can choose between two speeds.

In my opinion, the speed of movement is more realistic. and for the nostalgic it reminds them of the speed of SM legacy

It’s useful for rng-fishing in raid. On one of the day two raid levels, the boss has 512 hp - which you can hit with top damage on mercy. Setting the speed to 1x allows you to have more time to quit the fight if you don’t hit high enough. This is just one example, though.

It doesn't even apply the 1x speed in the first turn.

On 1x, all your actions and the actions of the other mech are slower, but the time it takes for you to quit the encounter does not slow down (it’s just dependent on your reaction time).

If you put the game in 1x speed, it still stays at the 2x speed for one turn. (If you started with 2x speed.)

I can react quick enough to reset. Is it really that worth it?

Is that what bothers you? Just keys 2x and do not powder the brains of others. Don't like it, don't turn it on.

I have never used it in my life. But like why do we have it? What is good about it besides than the raid?

Because 1x is literally there to waste your time. If you are farming its literally the worst thing you can do. On arena lets say the enemy is on 2x speed what are you gonna do if the guy is literally playing the game faster than you?
