Well, when I started there were many other players all the time at any hour. Sure, as my understanding, there were a lot less due to the game change from Legacy to Re-loaded current game version. Old players invested years and money into the game old game, but it was the loss of the game version that affected a lot.  The old players had to converts their parts and start all over in almost all parts. The other thing is that they used to have some MYTH boxes, sales and stuff like that.

By the time I joined, there were portals every month if not wrong and, in the portals, we used to get new parts released. I got different parts from those days, and I do not remember the last one. By Feb 2021 or so, the sales and new release of parts ended, and the parts were the backfire parts. I was like 1 year old player. Portals with parts eliminated, few months of portals with very nice tokens and some with gold relics but step by step were as well killed. 

So, old players, losing Legacy, starting over, loss of portals, new parts releases over, backfire added, then BASE drama and the heavy grinding affected a lot. Many from legacy decided to no longer play so the players drop, and the cheating affected a lot of banning players and few other things around many started to talk bad about the game and that affected even more and little by little, no competition at top level and loss of interest is now affecting the game. 

I started in this version so for me it is a good game, but it is true that some things that were back then in my starting days are a bit missed including to see those top players competing in a serious way. I have not seen that at least last 2.5 years no less. Sure, me been an old person already it is different because many of those old players were young teenage kids and even little kids that now are adults at university or graduated and working and some maybe starting a family or in a serious relationship. Life changes a lot from kid to teenage and from teenage to university then welcome to be an old dude time with responsibilities just in 12 years of play time or so. 

Some old players are gone. 

Also, this forum was an issue because people used to like the old one and this one was bad for them and not many joined back. Sad to be honest. It was vibrant the old one and was a lot more before I joined. Back then, some stopped playing and no longer used the forum.  I am also retired but because work and family and even stopped to play my over 30year play time in my old game MECHWARRIOR and missing my old friends of countless years.

I used to play Legacy too. At that time I was just 3 or 4 years old. I feel like it was much more fun in the old days. The Silver and Gold boxes, Mythical boxes, the shop, I miss a bunch of that stuff.

There was also another game I used to play on my cousin's FB account once, it was called Dragon City. Used to have less dragons, not much Pay 2 Win, and the music was... AMAZING. Now, it has way too many dragons, a lot of Pay 2 Win, they literally changed my beloved music of the game, the designs of the original starter 4 dragons, they changed the battle music, and because of that, I don't feel like it's the same game anymore. All of these reasons are why I don't play it nowadays.

Right now, the only game that still is pretty good and also nostalgic for me is SM. This is the only one I play right now. Not too much has changed, it didn't change the amazing battle music like Dragon City, and it still has a little bit of it's old feel that used to be in Legacy.

I see. Never played.  I used to play many games in the past, but work and family became a priority. 

Internet video games became casino and click to pay stuff. Sure, in my time every play you had to pay. I used to play all of that and hundreds more. STARGATE was one of my favorite. 

Now people can play days and no pay. Sure, people have to understand that game maker need to make a profit and pay employment. 

Now, as you mention, nothing will stay the same in order to squeeze some money. 

About SM, I think it is a good game to play everyone. The reviews should be better and it should have more players base for sure. I play games since I was a kid and I am in my mid 50's and literally part of the generation that really from kid got those type of games so my generation it is video game lover and I can see old guys like me playing like pros new games etc so I can say it is a good game. Many walked away because grinding and the loss from of the attractive stuff that still had when I started not long ago.

Well, i come from the era of the ps handheld, i remember being so excited seeing a console being shrunk to the size of a phone ( pre modern phone gaming era). I remember thinkung the graphics were much better than what we had then and the price was acceptable. Was sad to know that the ps handheld was killed off by sony. But on the bright side we got a phine so yay.

Do you know the PSP handheld onsole? The game was played by inserting a card on the bottom part of the console.

Me and my brother used to have 2 of these for both of us. One was Blue and the other one was Red.

I think I might have one of the cartridge of the games you put in those, it is of football.

Sadly the only old game I remember like the one in the picture is PAC-MAN.

Dragon city was so good back then nowadays it seems eve try game is overfilling with useless updates like Fortnite, overwatch, even the old pixel gun 3d, etc

Every new game is more about making money than making a good game. Big game companies are getting greedy.

nowadays corporations dont care about the users, these corporationd only want to see their value rise and thats it. with most games, or the enitre “mobile game market” just being a “how much money can we take out of the user” mentality
