Energy sniper build

Hello, guys!

Finally I got all items for a sniper build. But sometimes I lose even with sniper's items. I have some difficulties with choosing drones and torsos. Also, some troubles with modules. I need your help. Especially with drones. I have so many drones and all of them are so situational. I don't know how to choose:

For a sniper build to work, it can't COMPLETELY depend on the scopes to win, because if the opponent is smart and avoids the scopes, you won't win. The strategy behind a sniper build is to push your opponent into scope range so that they move and waste a turn to avoid the scope, or you get a scope shot on them. But if you can't kill their mechs with your non-scope weapons only, you don't have a well functioning sniper build. Use your shockwave drone for extra push, but I'll let others decide the side weapons. And the heat stats are too low, heat mechs are meta dominant right now. Energy regen is more important than energy cap, because once you've been drained, you won't be able to recover your energy back. Use more engines instead of just storage units. Sorry for the long paragraph, but I think these advices should help.

Yeah, thank for advice. Huge paragraph isn't a problem for me, I'm big fan of huge paragraphs too :).

Well, I just copied CleverName's physical scope build and replaced modules and weapons on energy's.

This drone with backfire helps me to fulfill the condition of destroying opponent without using scopes. What about heat guys? I just leave against them :3. But sometimes heat mechs leaves too despite the fact that I have 0 heat.

Hybrid engine is nice, but I haven't it. Because of this I can't feel myself good against all types of mechs. So, I need to choose 2 types which I'll counter. Physical+heat isn't a solution, because my mech requires energy and I'll need to use 1 energy engine anyway. Physical+energy is the best option for now.

I leave against them and feel ok with 2/3 winrate.

One more question: why lighting recoiler instead of piercing fox? Also, are these energy and heat stats ok without using hybrid engine?

Btw, Blizzard dissolver is better, than Broken blizzard dissolver, isn't it?

 

Also, question about physical mech. I have extra weight and can add cockpit piercer to counter teleport trick or armor annihilator/damaged armor dissolver. What's better?

Why a lightning recoiler instead of a piercing fox? Piercing Fox has more range and would work better.

Yeah, piercing fox is better, but the author had placed lightning recoiler.
