  1. Thanks for replies. I am on a lucky streak and have just got a heat monkey, so now I'm wondering whether that might be the way to go instead of MPV. Decisions, decisions..... Maybe I should just upgrade the hell out of everything (this is where a maxed base comes in handy) and experiment.

  3. I have decent energy mods, but also looking at energy-free or low-energy weapons. So it's starting to sound like it would be worth my while boosting the MPV.
  4. I'm building up the third mech in my alt account - it's a physical, which I'm looking to load with a few energy-free and low-energy weapons, so I probably need a heat torso. At the moment it has a Windigo, maxed legendary waiting for enough food to go mythical, but I've just had a Molten Platinum Vest and an Energy-Free Armour drop, so I'm wondering if I should mx up one of those instead of the Windigo . What do people think?

  7. From recollection, you might be a little short - but those final stages take days each, so you can be grinding the gold while the HQ is upgrading, so you might be OK at that. Go for it, I say.
  8. One thing that does seem to be missing is a heat version of Terror Cry. Was there one ever?
  9. Claw requires a different setup because it's fixed. I have Claw but don't use it for that reason, because I prefer mobility without having to use all the moving items (teleporter, charge engine, grappling hook) all the time. But the HP of Claw is huge, nd you see a lot of successful players with it. But if you go for Claw then in my opinion you have to have Nemo, because Tonto is limited to range 2-4 and that goes badly with Claw's immobility. My physical mech has Tonto and Massive Stone Feet, and it's going OK, although I'm thinking about replacing it with the backfire physical drone. - whichever one of the Protector drones that is (don't have one just now).

I suppose if you want to try for legendaries at the top end of the factories while also producing commons and power kits, you'll need minimum one maxed factory, one at 15 and one just level 1 - which is what I have, in fact. But I don't try the legendaries option much, as it's so expensive for the low chance of legendary when you can be getting epics as a bonus quite frequently when collecting commons. (nice feature, that) Main thing for swift progress is HQ at max, one factory at 15 and another not upgraded for commons, plus all four gold mines maxed. But Spam's right if your ultimate aim is everything maxed - it'll be slow and frustrating later on if you find you need to max up something you could have done earlier. (I may end up cursing and grumbling if I ever need to upgrade my factories further)
  11. P.S. When I said "base" in my reply, I meant "HQ". Apologies for any confusion.
  12. My tips would be: Two factories is as many as you need for now. Only upgrade one factory for now, because regular commons from a level 1 factory are so cheap at the moment. Max up the number of gold mines (four eventually) before ading any more factories. Early on when everything upgrades fairly quickly, take the base as far as you can before you have to wait more than an hour, then upgrade the gold mines as far as they'll go, then upgrade your "best" factory as far as it will go, then upgrade the base some more, and so on.

  17. I'm 9-7, with an alt at 11-9, and enjoying 123 Pam. You could do worse.
  18. Good basis for an energy hugger. Max out your heat mods and your malice beam and frantic first. As others have said, get an energy distancer in place of the flaming hammer - either lightning recoiler or Viking hammer, whichever drops first. Farm 1 v. 1 final boss (Bigboy) if you're able, as you'll get a fair rate of fortune boxes, and for me at least they seem to drop Viking hammers like nobody's business.

  20. Yeah, Zark was a good torso, but it's been overtaken by a couple of others when they were buffed. Windigo is good, or I also like Nightmare for a heat build, if you max it up to Divine (easier because it starts as a common). For legs, Massive Stone Feet for physical or Massive Lava Feet for heat. Soon as you get any engines, install them and max them.
  21. Seems to be back up again - I can only assume this is some sort of server maintenance issue.
  22. I'm getting the "connecting to server" screen and no more - this is on both the mobile app and the desktop app. Presumably it will be fixed in a while? Anyone else having the problem?
  23. There is already a search function (top right) - I use it quite often to get at the Maxed Mythicals list. Which makes me wonder - a personal "sticky" function to keep a favourite topic at the top could be good (or if it's there already, instructions on where it is and how to work it would be great).
  24. If you have a second factory, craft loads of commons at level 1 - presently very cheap. Use those commons to upgrade commn power kits - it's a bit fiddly but way more efficient than just using the commons direct to boost items. Then use the PKs to boost what needs boosting. Have you got the gold mines maxed? PKs can be a drain on your gold otherwise.
