  1. I can't remember how much, it's like 3K I think
  2. Thanks! But what I'm interested in is the progression of time also. Base rates have changed. I'll look at this when I get a chance! Basically worth having is HPV, not Purifier, for example. Both premium, one is generally considered worth having. I can post the raw start (screenshots) in a little bit. The raw data from the study, as requested:
  3. Good job! I like it! Hopefully the claws can be Big Daddies.
  4. Some of you may have wondered if building Chance of Legendary in the base is worth it. So me and my clan, N0ble Warriors, ran some chance of legendary in our bases to see what we came up with. So far we've run 54 and are going to keep going until 100. BLUF: Yes, worth it for legendaries, not worth it for premiums unless you're F2P. Chance of legendary in the base gives more legendaries than the Feb 21 Deal, but fewer premiums. This is the base chance of legendary data: LONG STORY: Based on previous study with premium pack rates in February of this year, you get more legendaries. However, you also have a reduced chance, per 54 boxes, of premiums. Estimated error rate: 1% or less. The premium pack study legendary rate was 17.92%, but the premium rate was 6.25%. This means the chance of useful items in premium boxes is twice that of the February 21 deal. It's still unknown if February 21 just happened to have higher rates, so if you base this on the previous premium pack study from March 14 of last year, you will get twice the legendaries than this previous study. In that study, out of 40 premium packs, I got 14 premiums that are worth having. Legendary rate was 34 out of 200, i.e. 17% (which resulted in a quote of 0.85 legendaries per premium pack). So the rate of that was still higher, at 7%. SUMMARY OF ALL 3 STUDIES: you can see how the premium item rate is higher with premium packs but lower in the base Chance of Legendary. My advice: if you're F2P, build chance of legendary. During this study, one of my clan mates got an OEMP and I got an LPV. It's worth it if you don't have wads of cash to throw at SM.
  5. Thanks. I think I had said the crab's "arms" would need to be one of the weapons in SM but I forget which weapon I said. EDIT: ah yes, Big Daddy.
  6. All, Because I love research, I tabulated the 48 premium packs I got from 2 people who bought the 24 pack deal on the 21st of February this year. I've been busy so I didn't have the ability to tabulate the data, but here you go: Premium item rate: 6.25% Legendary rate: 17.92% Total packs: 48 Total legendaries: 43 So the legendary rate is approximately 0.9 legendaries in a premium pack. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/135ucvVQy9KVcA03Mdot8FGNSdYLh1CVG3PsZGaqQ3iY/edit?usp=sharing TOTAL PACKS 48 TOTAL PREMIUMS 15 TOTAL LEGENDARIES 43 TOTAL CHANCES 240 PREMIUM RATE 6.25% LEGENDARY RATE 17.92% I will post the actual results these two individuals had. Thanks!
  7. My advice: save them up until you get to 335, then hit the premium pack. Do this until you have 24 epic-to-divine modules in some combination of heat engines, energy engines, mass cooling boosters, and mass regen boosters. I would recommend the "perfect" set would usually be 10 heat engines, 10 energy engines, 2 mass cooling boosters and 2 mass regen boosters, because for some reason in this game I've always ended up with my physical mech using an energy-type (monkey, vest, or Naga) torso. DO NOT food these modules! Then just keep playing and upgrade things gradually and evenly (mainly torso and legs but also weapons, drones, and modules). My advice: upgrade everything to legendary, then everything to myth, then max them all, in the order above. But you can watch the videos too. I am not the smartest, strongest, or most experienced SM player, but this pattern worked for me on my main, my alt, and this testing account I created for the purposes of the videos.
  8. The videos are spread out between two channels, as I am trying to migrate the videos over to my clan's YT: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPRwcPX_4_t6aZjnZfgbEExBNmiPtFfmP https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLliJIR6q0BwrpCCmjQX7Y6GmcgqVP7KSV Look for videos called OneEyedCat. That's the quick start account I created for the purposes of the video. I don't have the YT link in this page yet. I'm waiting for the time to get them all migrated to my clan's YT before I do that.
  9. That's how RNG works. On average (120 data points) it's 0.8 per premium pack. Maybe you just had bad luck. Maybe tomorrow you'll have great luck. Who knows?
  10. I don't know. But one of my friends who re-activated the base said that it saved his progress.
  11. I tested this. On average, a premium pack tends to give you 0.8 legendaries. This means if you get 10 premium packs you should get at least 8 legendaries. I think the rates have changed since last year, so I will be releasing a scientific study testing the rates, but for now, it's about 0.8 per pack.
  12. 1) Whoever told you corrupt light is trash doesn't understand this game. You should immediately stop listenign to them. 2) Windigo is better for a boiler mech if you don't have MPV or FHA monkey. However, I would say, in order from best to worst, it's MPV (if you have premium resistance), then Fractured Heat Armor (if you have no premium resistance), then Windigo. Seriously, who is giving you this advice? There are very very few weapons on SM that are completely trash.
  13. The Claw is ok, but you often need a specific build and specific utilities to make it work. I recommend having at least one divine Claw and then 3 of each massive legs (heat, physical, and energy) for your 3v3 teams some day.
  14. Random drops. Token use. Honestly, I taught this with my quick start guide on YouTube: I recommend with a brand new account that you always save tokens until you get to 335, then hit up a premium pack. I do this until all 3 mechs have enough epic-to-divine modules to be half way decent in the arena. I was getting nice premiums with that brand new account that I created just for the quick start guide.
  15. You can build a basic boiler using a combination of two corrupt lights or flaminators (or mix and match) with recoiler or hammer and vandal rage and heat bomb. The boiler build is the easiest build to farm the 1v1 campaigns with.

    Mistake?

Yeah and to be fair, while Nightmare is a good torso, it's usually better for higher rank players who need an efficient torso and have tons of premium modules. I am currently using Nightmare in my 3v3 heat damage team because I could not fit a molten platinum vest. In theory, if I had just one more QCB or OLP, I could fit a vest. Nightmare is a good torso and the time you spend upgrading it isn't wasted. Brutality has no future. So many torsos are better than Brutality, like Nightmare, Windigo, Naga, monkey torsos, and MPV/LPV.
  17. Depends on what level you are farming. In 1v1 campaign, heat "boiler" mechs are best. Arrange your resistance based on what you are going to face in the arena. For example, if you want to farm Big Boy: You don't have to make it exactly like this, but in my opinion this is the general pattern for a boiler that can beat the final boss. If you use this to farm Big Boy, you should be able to consistently beat it, and that's how you would farm for fortune boxes. If you're trying to farm OD6, this will also work. This will also work to farm the last 1v1 side mission (i.e. for titan tickets). Another way to farm could be to use a dual frantic build. The 1v1 campaigns aren't so difficult. If you're farming a mission with mainly energy mechs, make sure you have at least 4 energy engines and at least one energy-free weapon (like Annihilation).

    Mistake?

No because Nightmare is better than Brutality (in my opinion).
  19. Your friendly neighborhood SawzAll here from N0ble Warriors with a video on how to counter in the Clan Wars. I am not the expert on countering, but I at least cover the basics of resistance, items, torsos, legs, and tactics using both of my accounts and a real clan war. I personally believe the attacking clan has the advantage in the clan wars (i.e. due to who you're attacking being piloted by the computer). Even if you don't have a large inventory, you can build your teams in such a way that you can be highly effective.
  20. I believe Reign Forever requires rank 3.... I run a top 30 clan at the moment....
  21. Yesterday's deal was incredible for both my main and my alt accounts: (I just got done spending my Christmas money, so I'm done for the year probably.)
  22. This isn't the boosting I'm talking about. I'm talking about the boosting going on in rank 2-1 where people are doing this specifically to try to get #1/#2/#3 player medals. The boosting I'm talking about is the boosting that basically ensures that you will never get a solo medal without tons of money and two accounts (at least). I'm talking about the kind of boosting that bypasses the arena and legitimate competition. This is calling upon the community to stand up against boosting. I am trying to move the SM community at large to be so much against boosting that those who do it either fear their reputation and stop, or if they don't fear their reputation (like account thieves and hackers), that Gato Games somehow fixes boosting so that solo medal competition is once again fair and legitimate. (This is not to blame Gato Games, by the way.) This is a complex issue so this is only one of the things I'm trying to do to encourage the community to rise up. There are other issues that may need to be fixed to completely fix the boosting problem with solo medals.
