  1. I'm going to say it right now: If you're new to the game, defense matrix is a great deal for you if you don't have enough fortresses to run 3 mechs in full META mode. I've gotten to R2 with 3 x defense matrix in 3v3 heat. BUT if you don't need a defense matrix, this deal isn't the best for you. In that case, save for fortress/quad/overload deals.
  2. False, I do not live in a subway station. The next person runs dual frantic brute.
  3. My opinion, the fastest way is with all level 20 gold mines in the base. Build commons and power kits. Then what I do is upgrade 4 commons to 3 x level 10 and one level 5, then use that to max a rare power kit. Then I use the rare power kit to upgrade the items. Like when they're myth. I can build like almost 4 legendaries in a day that way. But when I build legendaries I upgrade an epic items by using one max rare power kit and then 3 x level 10 common power kit and one level 8 common power kit.
  4. That's not how it works. You made a claim, now back it up.
  5. Maybe, but the thing is people will farm boss levels regardless, and mainly for the FBs, so at that point studying the mix box rate wouldn't accomplish much.
  6. I'm not studying mix boxes. This study took 4 months and 6.4K runs just for all the boss levels, and mix boxes don't have much variety. Since you want to study mix boxes, and almost all missions give them, that would be like 10 times the amount of work we put in. And it took 4 months with 10 accounts helping to complete this study. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but I'm saying it would take you like a year, easily. It's too much work for not much benefit. You can farm almost any mission for mix boxes. Not all missions give FBs, and only FBs give legendaries on a half-way regular basis. Mix boxes are really not worth changing your campaign farming habits IMHO because almost all good levels give them.
  7. There were easily a dozen different accounts with different player levels farming these, including one that is/was like level 12, so that player level shouldn't affect the results. That's the power of Noble Warrior Clan: we had rank 10s and 8s helping, as well as a rank 1 and some members of Noble Padawans at below rank 10. The members of my clans are awesome.
  8. Ok, so what you're saying is you're going to run all side missions 40 times with multiple accounts in the hopes of seeing the mystical fortune box? That sounds like a waste of time, but you're welcome to try.
  9. Yeah I'd rather not investigate rumors just yet, but still, I appreciate the comment.
  10. Can you farm 3V3 lost valley in insane mode 100 times?
  11. No worries, this is for others who do things like farm. Farming is a great way, if you have the time, to get weapons upgraded, drops, etc.
  12. I will add that soon. Or if you want, you can participate in the research? DM me if you wish.
  13. So after 6,486 campaign mission runs, the FB Chance Per Mission Study has concluded! I would like to thank @Diablooder @Rambo @Catalin Algeriano @Greedy Warrior @Knae gae ear @Sushi @renkobyasi and many others! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14RulUeu8g7bTZb4N9rSZ5bRoqpZvrXac7CbAhmt-dDY/edit?usp=sharing I will do some "best fit of line" math to chart it soon, but it seems the best missions to farm for fortune boxes are: 1V1 Overlord's Den Normal 1V1 Overlord's Den Insane 3V3 Frozen Abyss All are roughly 12% rate. More will come soon.
  14. Please stop necroposting. He retired from SM.
  15. Three airbags deployed, so this may be a total loss.
  16. Looks like it will be totalled but I don't know anything yet. Yes, no broken bones, walked away from it, same with the other person.
  17. I'm going to miss you, VW Sportwagen. You were awesome. You probably saved my life, too. Too bad wagons aren't popular in the USA.
  18. If you don't have enough premium resistance to go around, like at least max protector/defense matrix, if not 2-3 fortresses, you might as well go all-in for hit points. Monkey torsos do a good job with that, and you still see monkey torsos from time to time in top ranks. I prefer vest + resistance, sure, but I don't personally think savior resistance is good enough for the arena. It's good for the campaigns though.
  19. I think it's decent overall but could use some work. For instance, the heat and cooling stats are too low. Second, it may be possible for you to do this build more simply. I'd recommend something more along the lines of this:
  20. There are a few potential problems with this: 1) You would still need to pay someone to be the CEO/CFO even if everyone bought the game. For instance, Fender Musical Instruments is also employee-owned and they have an executive team. 2) You would need players with enough cash to buy out the shares and do this. I don't think there are enough of these types. 3) You would need players to understand that buying shares and being part of the employee ownership program DOES NOT MEAN they get tokens or other in-game perks except maybe cosmetics. Because if everyone comes into it with an entitlement attitude, everyone will just feed off the company until it dies. 4) You would need to then organize some sort of effort to hire programmers that are trustworthy. Have fun with that. Action script (Flash) is basically extinct. 5) You would need to buy out the company shares first, and then afterwards move the company towards employee ownership. That's not just going to happen overnight. 6) You would need to do so before the real owner of the game (hint, not Alex) gets wind of it and folds the company. We've never met this person: what if he doesn't want to give up SM? 7) It would need to be an international company. 8 ) You'd all need to be employees for it to be employee owned. I think what you mean is player-owned. 9) You'd need some criteria for who is allowed to player-own shares and their conditions. For instance, you'd be wise to specify that all those who own shares get to vote on company matters, and you'd also probably want to specify that those who don't vote for 3 consecutive quarters get fired and their shares refunded. 10) You'd need a vision for where this game is going. And I'm going to be completely honest with you, where this game needs to go is SM3. (SM1 being legacy and SM2 being current reloaded.) And have fun trying to get everyone to agree about where this game is going. It was difficult enough to get the balance team to agree on anything. And no offense, but also given the SM universe "lore" (which there is hardly any), I don't think SM3 should incorporate ANY of the concepts in our current game. I would say look outside the game for other concept games and use some of their general principles. I could easily list like 20+ ideas on how to fix SM in terms of the overall gameplay but I don't want to "show my hand" because if I spill my ideas out here, someone could very well just steal them and create SM3 without me. Instead, what I would want is this: if someone can give me $1B USD initial investment capital, I can buy out the name and then create a game that will be far more successful and lucrative. But I would need this initial investment capital in order to get the ball rolling. And I would also point out that the way I would fix SM would be to completely reinvent the game. So my advice (sorry for necro-replying) is to just enjoy it until it folds. I still recommend the game to parents with kids. But no game lasts forever, and certainly not SM. I am not saying SM is dying so much as I am saying SM is not eternal.
  21. I can't believe there are so many jerks in basically every game on the internet. But oh well.
