If you use base,you can get free money every day and you can put money in the item factory to wake up tomorrow and see ''Oh my god,thats so much items!''.
Meanwhile if you don't use base,you would have to spend 7500 coins just for a ''mix box''.Mix boxes already give up to epic items.
And you wont get free money with disabled base.
Moral of the story:
Base=Chad
Silver Box=Virgin

I mean, maybe, but you get better items from base, (Such as power kits and chance of legendary)

you also gain passive gold (When max gold mines its about 100k a day)

if you disable base you get much less gold and worse items and honestly maybe less items to
