This is more evidence to prove the hypothesis from the old forum that certain boss levels drop fortune boxes with better items. My last 2 legendaries from OD8 were also L-M's but in this video there is only 1 L-M out of 81 boxes which is either really terrible luck or the boxes were achieved from one of the earlier boss levels, perhaps even the first one
More research is needed, perhaps I'll start a fortune box general once I gather enough data

What is the best mission to farm purely fortune boxes in? I usually do either OD8 1v1 on insane or OD8 2v2 on hard to balance out gold and item loot. What's the best spot if you want to just get as many fortune boxes as possible though?

i think SC should have damage range between 400 to 600 so atleast when you use you know it will deal a good amount of damage even if its not the max amount
and the wieght you use SC once while frantic twice so making SC half wieght to frantic makes sense
Can't you read? SC is 24 weight while FB is 50 so that is already a thing.

Ah that's the problem, you probably won't be able to beat it without revives if you don't run a full myth mech. I can give you some pointers though, for example a heat bomb is what I use in my boilers no matter what and also some higher res would be good.

The best way to do these types of portals is by using boiler mechs, otherwise they do too much damage.

Frantic has worse damage and range. SC is a more compact version of it for less than half the weight, the 98 backfire isn't that big of a deal either when your enemy gets shredded with like 600 dmg.

Is this an alright energy mech? Doesn't need to be meta just decently good, I'm getting tired of only paying phys and heat. Made entirely out of items I already own so if you suggest something go mostly for E-M's.

Not if you grind using tokens, good RNG only means you'll get lucky and get good stuff sooner.

Using two vandal rages in a decent boiler mech puts you pretty comfortably near rank 3, can't reach top ranks due to most people there having dual modules with 400+ cooling and 600+ heat cap.
