My mech can do fine even if it's insane and autoplays but does the difficulty affect the drop rate of the fortune box?
Yes, hard and insane have increased drop chance.
1 hour ago, Bring live your dreams said:If not affect, i think the best is farm the first boss level, no?
I vaguely remember reading a general grinding post on the old forum and it said something about fortune boxes having worse rewards in the earlier boss levels.

Hope you don't mind telling about where to grind for those fortune boxes because I mostly grind in overlords den mission 6 but no clue on where to grind fortune boxes somehow
Fortune boxes should only be farmed in boss missions, aka the mission that's the last one in every act since the drop rate in normal missions is like 1/1000. Personally I farm the very final mission in the 1v1 campaign on insane but you can do an easier one if your mech isn't strong enough to win on autoplay.

- don't use 6 weapons, only use the ones you will will actually use in battle
- upgrade and add modules, in this game survivability is key, the more turns you're able to survive the more turns you will be able to attack your enemy
- however sick your mech may look now, don't waste tokens on painting your mech, tokens are necessary for getting the best items in the game
- try to have all your weapons be the same type, mixing different types of weapons spreads your damage too thin, while concentrating on one doesn't
- try to focus on upgrading items that can reach mythical level, they are the ones with epic, yellow, orange, and white circles next to their names
- focus on upgrading your torso, legs, modules, weapons, in that order
- while still keeping the last tip in mind, try upgrading all your items somewhat equally
Good tips except the last two, the order should be torso, modules, weapons and then legs since they provide the smallest difference unless it's the claw. The focus on equally upgrading your mods should only happen after you max the torso outside of some basic epics leveling.

If so then should I also make my 2 backstabber drones as myth food then? Because I don't really think they can be useful to me somehow
Up to you, they are useful for huggers though so if you ever wanna make one I'd suggest you keep them due to their unique ability.

I just want y'all to know i'm winning this cause i need those 3k tokens
so if u go against me I feel bad for u
Do you have an OP mech or are you just confident for no reason?

In terms of leveling, max out the torso asap. It'll greatly increase your health, heat and energy stats + resistances. Then another thing you should focus on is making all of your weapons one element, either physical/heat/energy since they will synergize much better resulting in bigger damage and more drains/shutdowns.

Fr I need one of those bad
Gotta grind those boss levels, end of season arena chests and portals. It's the most efficient way, packs usually only have E-M's even if they yield a legendary. With fortune boxes it's the opposite I've noticed, though maybe I'm just lucky.

res is common thing in high ranks basicly every player in the top ladder has high res so having 150 red wont give you so much advantage cause your enemy will has high res too
and thats what gives free energy mechs an advantage over energy builds while with heat you can take a turn away from them
i looked at the weapons stats and only some E-M energy weapons have better stats than heat weapons (heat bomb have higher stats)
but thats not the case with L-M items
Lies. Here's the list of energy weapons weaker in terms of damage than their heat counterparts: Frantic brute, BigDaddy, Ultrabright and Viking hammer. Rest is equal or straight up better and not to mention all of the items I mentioned still have better energy damage stats than the heat has heat damage.
As to the previous statement, duh. Shutting down an enemy mech is not always useful, they can easily get rid of the heat by a single shutdown and kick kick your ass. Once you drain someone it's much harder for them to regain their energy than it is to cool down.

Grinding what? Gold? XP? Fortune boxes? Titan tickets? There's a different answer for each one.

There should be a Christmas hat portal in a couple of days like every year

Yes, sadly the build variety you can use with it is limited due to most energy weapons being drain-based. The best weapons it goes with are bunker shells.

This isn't even a question, just use the guardian haha. The backfire won't really matter when you can do 400+ damage to people when they're drained, just pair it with some extra hp in the mods and you'll be fine, shouldn't need much more than 1800 hp for the backfire to really not matter. (AND BACKFIRE DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE AN ITEM BAD YOU WUSSES THAT ALWAYS USE THAT ARGUMENT)
Backfire is just another balancing factor like weight or heat/energy cost. It does look scary but some weapons are worth the backfire, especially if you have enough HP to facilitate it, you can go all out with the damage output.
10 hours ago, Mechheaters said:Thanks for the response but it's not good to use any premium items as a material for making mythicals
Says you, some like the windforge have been completely useless and outdated for years now so unless you are collecting them for personal enjoyment you can just food them.

now lets consider that we buffed the energy weapons and made it lighter
some of you would say that this means are no longer useless. will no it still the same
if we got the point of energy builds we would find that its about energy breaking but what about heat builds ? its about overheating
now here is the main reason why heat will always beat energy (from top ranks presective)
if energy mech made you out of energy it wont take a turn away from you. you still able to move, use spicals, use free energy weapons even you drone can attack if it doesnot use energy
while with heat if you manged to overheat your enemy he will lose his turn and if you manged to make him shutdown HIS DRONE CANT EVEN ATTACK NO MATTER WHAT
now lets consider that i somehow manged to get high energy cap and energy regenrate with high heat cap and high colodown with high hp (just consider this happend somehow) and i am running energy mech and i mange to energy break everyone in high ranks but i wont be in the top why ? because there is alot and i mean ALOT of free energy weapons that can counter energy builds
while there is only few weapons that can counter heat builds
now i know you would say "these weapons are premuim weapons only and require luck and alot of tokens" but i am talking from high rank (5-1) presective meaning that almost every player will have atleast 2 or 3 free energy preimum weapons and even the meta builds doesnot have energy variants cause as i mentioned before there is alot of weapons that can counter energy builds
and even if we compared between the meta weapons and its energy variants we will find that the heat type has better stats (the axe in the hugger mechs does 50 heat cap while the energy type does 40) not to mention the drone in the hugger mech that does a FREAKING 110 HEAT and i dont really think there is a way to make energy meta again other than making a new weapons
Wrong. Energy was never about disabling the opponent, that's what heat is for. Energy excells at insanely high burst damage with weapons such as UPC/Bunker/Valiant or at least that used to be the case until the dual mods got released, now you can have it all from max electric resist to high regen as well alongside high HP which rendered 99% of energy builds obsolete because their weapons are too heavy to be able to then also equip high health and cooling + regen.
Also let's completely ignore the fact many energy weapons are better than their heat counterparts why don't you

There should be some changes, mainly maxing some amount of mythical items should lock you out of lower ranks.

I mean, that sort of thing won't be half bad for me to do. I basically have a lot of backfire items and 4 monkes at my disposal, so I could probably make a living off of being some sort of "HP-oriented backfire lord of death" in rank 7 or something lol.
I just need more than one Platinum Plate.. Emphasis on more.
Could offer you a few if trading was a thing lmao

You need another armor annihilator. People in top ranks have near 180 phys resist, one won't bring it down a lot and most of your weapons are finite.
Would this mech break top 3?

Not even close, that damage output is abysmal, drain as well + you have no cooling so it's an instant loss against any heat.
