  1. Just had an idea which might be cool, but prob rather stupid.

Goes like this: every Saturday, right before season reset, the top 16 players get put into a weekly tournament, that is public to everyone. Why 16, well 16/2^4=1. So basically, they get put into championship, with always 2 random players fighting to pass into the next round. It will be a best of 3, either organised so that both players can negotiate a time, and play 3 matches at said time. With a time picking option, so they can both finalise a time. If a player doesn't show up at the decided time, it counts as a forfeit. If the players dont agree upon a time, the AI will randomly pick a time between the two proposed times. Otherwise it can be like war, with each player doing 3 attacks vs the other, within 24 hours. In the next 24 hours, the winner of each of the first couples moves into the next round, where he/she meets another winner from the previous round into the 8th finals, then so on into the quarter finals, and then semi and then finals. The tournament would be viewable by all, so it would be cool to follow along. The top 4 players would receive:

The first gets 1 million gold, and 500 tokens

The second gets 800k, and 400 tokens

The third gets 600k, and 300 tokens

The fourth gets 500k and 250 tokens

To get third and fourth, there will be a losers final as well, as in the 2 losers from the semi finals fight to get 3rd and 4th place.

IDK, seems rather stupid, but I'd enjoy watching it 4sho.

Well, to be fair, this chart was created by Eneg(), and it's not completely scientific.  But it seems to line up with my own experience.  In my experience, using a Molten Platinum Vest without resistance, versus a Fractured Heat Armor without resistance, is not good in the arena.  In my experience, to make the vests worth using, you need at least 100+ resistance in all categories, and so the minimum is probably a vest with a Max Protector and a Platinum Plate, or a Defense Matrix.

So, it seems the chart is right, but it's not strictly scientific.

That's why I don't recommend non-premium resistance in the arena, even though it's good in the campaigns.  In the campaigns, your resistance resets with every enemy or group of enemies.  In the arena, it doesn't.

I don't mind power creep.  It's basically the entire concept behind war research and weapons development, something I got to be a part of in the Air Force.

But I feel like this is too much creep.  Maybe the final resistance values could be +10% of what the vests are instead of almost 50%-100% more.

    I like the art, though.

So I'm not saying "no", so much as saying I think that any or all of the stats should only be about 10% better than the MPV/LPV/HPV.  (The Physical doesn't have to be 10% better than HPV, it can be 10% better than MPV/LPV.)

The reason is I'm trying to prevent too much rage quit.  There are some F2P out there who will be upset that they got lucky and have 3 x MPVs on their mechs that they spent a lot of time upgrading, only to once again not have the best in the game and be hoping to get the new best thing.

So in my opinion, limiting the improvement over vests to 10% in any/all stats categories would help, in my opinion, prevent too much harm to the F2P players out there.

    But I'm just speculating.

I think vests r op enough already, a torso thats better than vests would be retarded to say the least.

It is hard to get opponents in the correct range as those weapons don't have lots of uses. I am fairly certain that most people will prefer a 300 damage shot every turn, than  a 550 shot that might happen every 2 turns.

Considering u can use 2action points to getinto range 8, it should be possible from nearly any range with the right build.

  4. 1 hour ago, Zylok said:

I think these drones would be useless as other drones will do much more damage over 3 turns (most of the times). And getting in range is like once or twice per match.

Well, yes and no, in a 4.7 turn match (average duration), if u somehow manage to get 2 hits, it will most probably pay off, and 2 hits doesn't sound that far fetched since u have 2 turns to generate the distance, because, in contrast to falcon, u can use both action points to get into range, as u don't need to use one to fire the drone.

Meaning that it is not improbable that they are fired even 3 times each match.

  5. We have range 2-4 drones, range 3-6 drones, how about a drone that only shoots at range 8, however, the catch is that it hits like a truck, making a selfish guardian look like a peashot.

The physical version would hit between 480-670, with 15 resistance drain. It would weigh 47 kg. Cost same as falcon 22/22

The heat would hit between 360-520, with 180 heat generation, cost 98/31.

The energy version would hit between 260-520 as well, with 230 energy drain, cost 31/98.

I think this would be balanced because:

It only has 1 range, and that is a hard range to get into.

    The costs are relatively high.

It will often not hit, unless on a very specific build, and if the person plays it very well.

    Lemme know ur thoughts.

    Hey guys,

For the second time in my Supermechs Life I've changed clans.  When Kongregate servers merged with the Supermechs server (long before reloaded) my clan in Kong mostly folded, I think most of them actually went to HTK.  At the time, I have no idea why, some players in HTK didn't accept me because they thought I was a spy or alt of someone else - so when Dany/Littlelost of LLYL invited me to join I accepted.  I almost didn't join at the time - I thought they would all be cocky jerks because they were long-reigning Gold Medal clan, and it turns out they weren't and we had many good times and many medals and build discussions.

Most of the faces I knew in those days with LLYL are gone now, but for many years I played alongside Wep, Gros and Nagi and some other longtime players in LLYL, even leading for a time.  It'll hold a special place for me certainly - and be weird to face that clan flag.  But I've made many friends over the years, and now more of those friends are in other clans than in my current one.  I have much admiration for the leaders and players in all of the clans, my connection to the game is more generally with all the players than it is to any specific clan.

It took more than 10 minutes of trying to figure out how to actually leave a clan, since I've only done so once, years ago.  I have accepted an invitation from some friends in Reign to join.  So for now, that's where I'll be playing from.

Much love to LLYL and the players and friends there, I just needed a bit of a change.

    Still playing though.

    Cheers!

    Andernut.

    Which reign clan exactly?

Yes but that leaves some people thinking Frantic is overpowered if it does more damage on average than Spartan Carnage.  In WU simulations, Spartan wins because it has 3 shots.  So until you have enough res/hp to survive two shots of dual Frantic, it appears dual Spartan isn't more powerful.

I appreciate your real shots, and I already knew what you concluded, but it's helpful for others to also see that Spartan > Frantic.

But I note you deleted resistance data.  That's an important part of the factors here.  In low and mid ranks, Frantic is OP because people don't have as much resistance, typically.

Anyways, besides the point.  This thread is about sacrifice cannon.  And their odd conclusion about it being irrelevant.  It's not.

WU not equal to the game

    rng is different

    builds r different

    Purifier average damage: 224

    Sorrow average damage: 199

    Difference is Sorrow adds heat.

I say make purifier unlimited shots is enough.

I don't think it needs resistance drain to make it equal to or better than Sorrow if it gets made unlimited shots.

But if you want, I can see maybe 5 resistance drain.

The main purpose of Purifier seems to be energy-free, at least to me.  That's the only reason I'd use it over Nightfall, for example.

By your logic, any phys weapon is better than any heat weapon except magma on paper.

I think res drain would either be insignificant, or make it too op. Increasing damage so it hits above 100, even if ppl have 180 phys res would be necessary. I think it would be cool if it's unique feature were that it has a very small damage spread, kind of the opposite of frantic.

    As in 15 at divine.

I take that back, you could make it 10.  But at divine.  So maybe 9 at mythical?  Because honestly why do we even have cooling damage in this game if you can't really make a cooling damage build?  I think Murmur should be the drone for the cooling damage mech.

But keep in mind Nemo does 20 capacity damage at Divine.

Yes, 10 makes sense, but at mythical, because divine doesn't change ur stats except damage, and heat damage.

True but cooling has more value than cap. For example any infinite use top weapon that deals 30 cooling damage instead of cap damage, with otherwise identical stats to hysteria would be op, yet hysteria isn't.

I'm talking about replaying the mission, not the first time you play, that's a guaranteed fortune box.

Again, first completion on easy of a boss gives a guaranteed fortune. Any other completion of any boss level, including first completion of hard and insane, may drop a fortune, may drop a box, or max drop nothing.

Whilst any completion of easy on any non-boss mission, including the first completion, may drop a fortune, and completion of hard and insane will never drop a fortune.

  11. 1 minute ago, Spam said:

You have a chance at a fortune box from any bow in campaign, and you almost always get a box on boss missions, so the over all chance in increased, but not by the level, but the mission.

Only on easy, insane and hard don't give fortune boxes, except against bosses.

Well even if you don't have resistance, a boiler is intended to overheat the enemy.  I've overheated people with my boiler that had a lot of heat resistance.  It just took longer to kill their mech, but I was able to do so.

I think Murmur's thing should be cooling damage, and that the cooling damage get increased.  Probably to 15.

If we go there with heat drones "needing" resistance, you'd have to then buff Nemo and Flamewave to give them resist drain, also.  I don't think this is the solution.

15 is too high, at lower ranks with ppl only having 200-250 cooling, thats far too much, 10 to 12 would be more feasible imo

  13. 5 hours ago, SawzAll said:

Honestly, I think just making it unlimited uses would be enough, as it's already more powerful than Sorrow on paper.

So I say the only thing it needs is unlimited uses.

Its not more powerful than sorrow on paper or irl

It needs unlimited uses, and much better damage, somewhere around 300-350. That would make it cool since it would have a very small damage spread.

Ahh, okay. The ' dewa ' seemed somewhat familiar. There was a player, back in the old Legacy days, that went by the name dewah77, if I remember correctly.

dewah was a legacy legend, nowadays, a scammer often uses that name

battery armors should be much lower, and nightmare needs to be the at level A+ as you call it.

Gorgon said nightmare is the best torso, and in addition, if u try building with it in WU, u will find that he's not wrong, it might be slightly worse than vests, or on par but tha<t's it
