Resistance is one of the main parts of the mech. You don't have it. Oh, by the way, replace Hollow Spectral Armor with a thermal or energy version. Check them out, they're better.

An easy fix would to be getting rid of the 1 mech in rank 15. This is because they use this so they can not climb ranks so they will have to loose every second mach. This will make it so they will be discouraged from doing it. I also found a good counter to most of them. It is called waiting until the clock hits 1 second to do your turn (please only do this against smurfs as it is very annoying to go up in actual battles). They will most likely give up because they can farm like 10 wins in the time it would take to kill you just one time. Hope this helps you get back to rank 15 as they show up very rarely above rank 16.

Well, when I was playing, I used to get sometimes R1 against R7 but some months ago, my kid in R8 got into R1 player and lose goofing around but got into another R1 and decided to play serious with the R7 mech and won. 🤣 Depending on player in the arena now days you can get different because I see fewer top players playing, and they do not have enough players to be match at those ranks so the system match with what it is available around. Also, at R7 they play against R5-R2 all the time or with R3 plus mechs. I just watch my kids play to collect data not as before but sometimes and make changes to the mechs for it. 🤷‍♂️

Because that's the easiest way for inexperienced players to reach higher ranks, you still can overheat or energy break them to at least have a chance 
I also find this build annoying and almost cancerous but I can't deny it works
