2023

The World Chess Championship is played to determine the world champion in chess. The current world champion is Ding Liren (China), who defeated his opponent Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia) in the 2023 World Chess Championship. Magnus Carlsen (Norway), the previous world champion, had declined to defend his title.

2024

The World Chess Championship 2024 will be a chess match between the reigning world champion Ding Liren (China) and the challenger Dommaraju Gukesh (India) to determine the World Chess Champion. The match is provisionally scheduled between November 20 and December 15, 2024, with the location yet to be announced. It will be played to a best of 14 games, with tiebreaks if required.

Yes will be a great World Championship 

Ding Liren who has a bad time after his 1. World Champion title 2023 ... falling to rank 14 in the current World Ranking (Classic) vs a "new" young talent from India 

Really no one knows who will win this
