it can be a decent cheap option with decent result but as I mentioned, not all accounts provide the same result reason I call it Gamble Mech not just because the output range a bit wide even was reduced time ago, but because accounts can be set for constant losses regardless same set ups.
Players have the tendency to make mechs without logic. The big reason is poor research of weapons functionality. I did always look at it and I knew what can be possible or not. Now, I built in a way to have my personal fun with my niece not in a way to win but to have fun using different weapons and gamble the win/loss as we wanted.
For players that saw a video and then wanted to play to be a pro, it does need to research before doing crazy things and waste time progressing the account and mech.
For example, my first mech for fun. My niece and I we wanted to play funny from start and make parts. Nothing else. All free development and my second mech as well.
I had a lot of power as free player then added power with offers. I kept my OKI low rank experimenting full power of the mech with different conditions. I used to build in the sideline for testing at pvp or chat test for fun and looking to progress O.D.FARM to be close to same power level then change to rank up a bit for fun with limitations.
I still make crazy mechs for test but also things that can work at lower ranks to move up a bit. I just pissed my pants when played testing match maker position starting point.
As an example of idiotic mech but makes me laugh a lot when I see players not knowing to do with it.
I did this one to mess around with pushers on those days and just to fool around with them and fooling around resulted on those days an R1 mech Not much now but still can push
This is just fooling around mech mid rank and see what will do against those top players playing at lower ranks on purpose and sure pack a punch against them but it is just a mid-rank mech and many others. I change their set ups to see the changes that will happen. They don't stay the same till I collect enough data for my own fun and in this case, my kids play them for me.
Players should test in the regular state as weapon was granted and make changes for fun and will find out many things. I still do that reason I make parts not use in top, but it is fun to use them to see how far can go with different configurations and many surprise me that can work at high.
