any build that entirely focuses on getting a scope on the rival player just seems like wasted effort, 'specially when the rival drains the aspiring scoper's energy and gets an instant win, because the en free range manipulating weapons are out of range, or too weak to make a difference

This isn't even a question, just use the guardian haha. The backfire won't really matter when you can do 400+ damage to people when they're drained, just pair it with some extra hp in the mods and you'll be fine, shouldn't need much more than 1800 hp for the backfire to really not matter. (AND BACKFIRE DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE AN ITEM BAD YOU WUSSES THAT ALWAYS USE THAT ARGUMENT)

Personally, i never felt evil when i dropped my rank for certain purposes (i have my reasons, like getting more straight wins... ), but i do hate those peeps who use rank 1-3 metabuilds in rank 10 arena and totally destroy me in like 3 turns.
Tbh, its kinda hard for me to say whether its strictly right or wrong, i'd say maybe slightly wrong since you'll be valuing yourself over others around you.

In my opinion, yes, the Iron Boots/Charged Walkers/Scorching Feet are all outclassed by the massive (element) feet. BUT, that doesn't mean you should just Haphazardly copy/paste some of the massive feet stats to the CM legs. I say a Sizable buff to their stomp damage, and a minor buff to their HP would probably, if not almost certainly make them more useful, though chances are, the massive feet would still be better, because let's be honest, if an item starts off at a higher tier than another item, it's kinda supposed to be better, isn't it? For example, the Comparison between E-M items, and L-M items. I think you see my point.

Maybe a (slightly) better alternative could be having a chance at getting a token per mission played [after the first completion] and the more fuel the mission costs, the higher the chance at getting a token from consecutive completions.

as far as which titan it would be, I'd say the phys variant of either the Shogun or God mode (EDIT: ant mech too but i forgot because im dense.), (because even dispersion of heat and energy) with vulnerability to knockback/pull, but HP and Resistance being normal, sounds like a solid idea to me, great way to mess with insanely high damage without messing around with heal pads and melee weapons
