Desolution is used more in the game. But you need the right build. Also a heat build.
Depends on what element you really want to make. Energy, heat, or physical. If energy, then yea grim is fine to up. Don't just up any weapon. Choose one element for each build. But for a beginner, you will be playing around with the build. Don't up items that don't go myth.

Yes you can. There are a lot you can switch around for that range 3.  Like I mention play around covering ranges. Go to Arena and click league.  See some replays of high ranks. Get an idea of different builds.
Right now, I only have one build for my 3rd acct.  I'm stuck at rank 17-15. I am still deciding on my 2nd. Still do not know. I will show you a video of my inventory....

Your range are all covered. Remember, these are not permanent. Grim Cobra Range is 3-6. The desert snake is 4-8, leaving range 3 open on the next turn. You want all ranges covered, that two weapons can touch.
- Rock recoiler range 1-2. It's a puch back weapon. Best use at range 2, to push opponent to range 4.  If your opponent is range 1, hugging you, you stomp then use recoiler.
- Grim Cobra range 3 - 6.  Working with the the other side weapon, you get two chances of attack if your opponent is range 4. You bring the opponent to range 3, then use that other side weapon, (I don't know the name of that, because I don't pay attention to them, being low rank weapons.) for range 3. You can change desert snake with desolution. That would be better actually.

First of all, you have range 2 - 1 recoverd with RR and legs. You don't need Backbreaker.  Your range 3 is not covered. You are an easy kill, if your opponent stays in range 3. That's why you grim, to work with snake better. Remember, these build are not permanent. My 3rd acct was like this in the beginning 1st week was this

There's a problem, even if I remove repulser and the armor destroying thing, I can't put rock recoiler. Should I remove every side weapon but BackBreaker to put a rock recoiler?

I would switch the Harden platinum vest, with windigo. Start upping that, though only legendary. Legs are fine. Keep Desdolation and desert snake on, yet do not upgrade for now. Use Rock recoiler. Try to up that, to at-least legendary. Keep using tonto. Use double teleport and hook. Use all your modules for now, yet only up Energy Engine, for now. Though not mythical, yet. When you get a heat engine, up that as well.  You just need to farm and save boxes and gold for now. Also, save tokens. Do the best you can in Campaign normal. If you get all the way to OD6, farm that one like crazy.  Right now, you should save.
