Should I drop my high Arena Rank from Legacy?

I played Supermechs ages back and got a very high ranking. Now that I'm playing Reloaded, I'm starting my mech from scratch but have kept my high rank.

In the Arena, I only get paired based on my old ranking, not by how strong my mech is, so I'll pretty much guaranteed lose. Should I drop my rank to get paired with people around my strength in the Arena?

If I drop it, I won't get the cool bonuses that come with having a high rank every week with each season's end.

If I go ahead and drop it, I might get paired with players more around my mech strength, and finally win arena battles, and finally purchase upgrades in the arena shop, which seems very powerful and helpful

I'm thinking I should drop it, but I don't know if I should. Help? Any would be appreciated!!

Ok new plan. Since I haven't had any word back, in just gonna full commit to dropping my rank and trying to verse against low ranking guys to earn Arena Points. I'll keep you guys posted how it goes.

 

I'll leave all of the high ranking clans and try and help out a smaller clan instead. This'll be fun

Ok you've gotta be kidding me lol.

 

The first guy I pair with in the arena to drop my rank intentionally gifts me the win by leaving the battle. I get 8 Arena Points, experience and coins, and my League Level bumps up to 8, making me legible for a higher League Prize again.

I suppose I just stay where I am for now? The League prize box helps at the end of the week with 4 Epics. Still wanna try and grab more Arena Points eventually though, so I'll try again in 5 days...
