Alright how do I make this build better i'm trying to get past rank 5

What do the modules look like? What other weapons you own? Can't give anything other than general advice without seeing the full picture. You have a blindspot in range 3, I'd also suggest increasing your heat cap and cooling.

I could use rock polisher but i have no interest in losing any of my health or resistance.

Max those cooling boosters and replace the storage unit with a heat engine. Space invader instead of burning shower and add an abomination to get rid of that blindspot. Replace some of the dissolvers for backfire version if you the weight limit doesn't allow it and you should be good to go.

Lol my old build

Mod setup was something like this, I'd suggest using that defense matrix you have there, was around top 33 at one point in 1v1

defense matrix instead of 2 fortress and mighty protector, qcb instead of heat storage

or you can use abomination

hes basically booster, and though superb charge and hook help, smart players will kill you by staying range 3

you can get r1 with it, then try to get top 1 :P

even though you can get top 1, you can't stay for long

Seems like you didn't see he was also a heat counter with good range control

Why would I wander anywhere near top 10 when 1v1 is always boosters in top 10 lol, not worth the effort

Range control means nothing, that’s what burning shower, charge and hook are for. The bane of builds like that are huggers, not pushers.

It's less than 8 months old iirc? I still can hit rank 1 every 1v1 season, I was rank 2 4 stars last 1v1 season with said build, couldve done a bit more but time was not on my side

This has pulled off a few wins against huggers in range 1 spawn for me due to reckonings 380+ damage rolls, but anytime it rolls lower it kinda makes it more of a loss situation for me

interesting well i don't have trouble against huggers either since i got my cooling in the upper 300's
