Yes it will work, Switch a heat engine for cooling booster. You'll be at 996 weight and add a superb charge. You'll have better heat stats, more hp and a superb charge for the extra damage

Players who have tens and hundreds of mythicals have been playing for years. Most of them buy offers rather than premium packs. You should save tokens for offers instead of spending them all on premium packs, would boost your progress a lot.

I use 1x a lot in raid lets say if I didn't hit high enough, I quickly quit and re-try for campaign, I sometimes switch to 1x just to admire some weapons
