  1. See, told you. Once you buff one torso, fans of the other torsos start asking for a buff. It's a never-ending vicious circle. Statistically, my math says a HP buff of 115. (Insert limitations of statistical method here.) With all due respect, I remember complaining that I hated how the monkey torsos looked, but I stopped upgrading my Grim Reaper and Zarkares and switched because I wanted to improve my mechs. If they turn around and buff other torsos, it's like all my hard work and time spent asking questions and researching amounted to nothing. I just don't support any more buffs. If you buff any torso, you essentially nerf all other torsos, which pisses players off. Then the "buff Avenger" and "buff Sith" threads start and the cycle repeats. Again, not trying to be disrespectful. I'm not saying everyone is complaining. I just don't support any further buffs to any item. With all due respect, the malice beam buff broke the rarity concept: now malice, an R-M, drains more than hysteria, which is E-M.
  2. Yeah, can someone please nerf the spelling on these?
  3. I don't understand. Do you mean you want decent treads like Sparked Runners?
  4. CleverName has one, and posted a video of using it on his YouTube video thread elsewhere in the forum.
  5. Please do not destroy your computer. Violence isn't the answer.
  6. I'm going to say this about the elephant in the room due to recent events. I am not trying to cause anyone harm, or spam the forum, so if this is out of place, please delete it or let me know and I'll delete it. Trump attempted a coup, and Pence didn't go along with it. Trump incited violence. I did not serve in the military 20 years to defend a president who willfully violates the constitution. I swore to defend the constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Given that Trump attempted a coup and incited violence, he is an enemy of the Constitution. I will never vote for any politician who does NOT sign the articles of impeachment. I want you to know, loud and clear, both as a former military member and a Christian, Trump does NOT represent us. He is NOT acting like a Christian should, nor as a politician should. This type of bull krap really bothers me. Please know that there are conservative Christians out there who did not vote for Trump and do not support him. People like me.
  7. Maybe. But maybe the explanation (trying to spin a story around it) is that the Basalt Dissolver's weight is mainly shielding to protect the host mech from damaging itself. But that shielding tends to muffle the resistance damage dealt. The Fractured Bassalt Annihilator removes that heavy shielding, but because it did this, it damages your mech when you fire it. Sort of like "freaking" a Black & Mild Cigar by removing the inner paper core.
  8. That's why dual valiant is in meta. You should test that config out in Workshop Unlimited: it's rather nice!
  9. I'm not really a fan of how much of a buff it received. Now its damage to weight ratio is easily twice that of all other drones.
  10. More consistent, true. But it still feels bad to fight them, as it's way OP for a E-M item, at least in my opinion.
  11. Good stuff. I got zero legendaries tonight.
  12. Then wait for an "increased drop rate" day.
  13. Or do what I do: do the $5/month subscription. Then save up your tokens. It's a steal: 750ish tokens for $5/month, just that they come 25 x day. Wait for the deal you want, then grab it. Honestly I wish there was a $10/month option. I'd subscribe to that if it was possible.
  14. About as close as you're going to get. All these taken in Iraq when I was there during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
  15. No thanks. To use your example, there are two separate tiers of resistance modules. I like this because it allows lower ranking players to get resistance modules, as well as F2P. This helps them compensate for either not having premium stuff yet, or not having received it. I'm P2S (pay to support) and I've only gotten one L-M resistance module so far. Three months and a significant amount of birthday and Christmas money spent (but I'm not complaining). Guess what my mechs are still using when I play campaign missions? Savior resistance modules. (I'm going to fix this soon, but still....) In the arena, only one of my mechs is equipped with a platinum plating module.
  16. I never said all prices were worth it. And that's the point: there are pros and cons. It might be cheaper, but take longer, to make your own legendaries, for example.
  17. Well, to make them less random. They're still random, and putting one on your mech doesn't guarantee a win. You do what you want. Me, I'm going to compensate with tactics. The other option is to embrace them and get yourself some, just in case you were wondering.......
  18. With all due respect, no. I understand that sucks, and I understand because I've been up around 5 AM and experienced SM being down before. But the concept of compensation is when you are legally owed something. SM / TactiSoft / Gato Games do not owe us anything legally. I am completely against downtime compensation. If I were CEO, maybe I would be nice and do something to compensate people, IF it was my fault or my company's fault. But as a player on a thread where someone is recommending or asking for something, no, I can't agree with you. They didn't even owe us SM to begin with, but yet it's F2P. They're already giving us a gift in the first place. I'm trying to ignore my feelings and thoughts on this, but every time I see someone suggesting that a F2P game company compensate people for downtime, I can't help but be repulsed (recoiled, if you will) by that level of apparent entitlement. With all due respect, it comes across as very entitled. I'm P2S (pay to support: I subscribe to $5/month) and you don't see me demanding something from SM for downtime. Also, I wouldn't post something on behalf of someone else. I would tell them to create an account and post it themselves.
  19. I had a Frantic Brute on my physical mech. It was nice to a point because on average, it did more damage. BUT it's too random for my liking, even after the nerf. I'm not saying it needs another nerf. My legendary frantic became myth food today (I have another in inventory, epic level 1) because I wanted to myth my rusty energy armor. I substituted Night Eagle. I'm not saying Frantic is bad, just that I don't like how random it is. I have one at level 10/11. Depends. If you can close the distance using tactics, you might survive them. I am lucky I got a distance shredder in a PP recently. If I get lucky and use that, I can at least get them to resort to their recoiler for the first turn, thus shutting down half of their dual frantic brute juggernaut.
  20. This old post seems to indicate it's not clearly superior or inferior, just that there are pros and cons. http://community.tacticsoft.net/t/the-official-pros-and-cons-of-new-base-accounts-and-non-base-accounts-switching/53043 With all due respect, I stick to common items, so for me it's just fine. Then decrease build times using the arena shop. Or, with all due respect, just learn to live with it. Even at base level 12, more or less, my factories have been producing common items since the beginning of December. 24/7. No stopping. It may slow down by about a month because I'm upgrading the base further in order to upgrade my gold mines further, but that's just me. Maybe, but again, I stick to common items to upgrade my stuff. I can upgrade an epic to legendary in one day (and I'm getting even faster at it as I upgrade the base). Philosophically, I disagree: I think it should be more or less equal to silver boxes. That way the player has a choice and can pick what they think works best for them. That's tbe beauty of it: if you think it's not worth it, don't use it. Also, players can request their base be deleted if they want to go back to the silver box system. They are? I haven't used the silver boxes since I first started playing.
  21. I'm not mad. Just my opinion: when you buff one thing, you essentially nerf the others. I would not have made Malice Beam drain more energy than Hysteria, but that's just me. Still, I'm sure we can all comment on how we would've done something differently, so it's really not important at this point.
  22. Not much of a flex, but it's a start. This is the torso for my physical mech: I've recently started trying to upgrade that mech because most my time has been spent on my energy and heat mechs....
  23. I don't use the WU AI. I use both mechs and fight to win, as competitively as possible. WU is great. Never said that. In fact, I pointed out that I may be missing something: i.e. I may think I understand it, but maybe in reality I don't.
  24. Ah, then this is just a misunderstanding. I wasn't saying the solution to all the person's problems is slapping two valiant snipers on their mech. It has to have the other items to go with it, you're correct.
  25. With all due respect, I know the meta is going to change soon, but then why did CleverName list it as top energy mech?
