Thank you, bro., It has been an up and down trying to do what I can with limited time with so much work in life. I need to thank my kids that time to time play some for me because I do not play but yeah, tuff thing to max parts and increase gold at the same time farming. Also, to my niece who started with me this account and was the solo OKI in the early stages. She used to live with me in her first 2 years of university as we planned. Maybe you remember her Meggy. She just graduated from her Bachelor and now starting her Master in a great university. Very smart young woman. 
HA-HA. I am sure I am not the #1 but I can tell I am one of the top real farmers and the fastest reaching L1-L250 account level. According to OKI DOKI post of his day reaching 300 million that was in 5/24/23, it took me 4 months and a week to get 100 million. Sure, I was making parts but reduced the amount of them to push faster and I was not in the optimal gold collection as I used to do it maxing all opportunities plus daily pvp. This time I lose a lot of gold without daily play and missing a lot of farming but good enough to say it was a good job to get it. 
You are as well one hell of farmer as others I know like Besty and Silver Shadow. Silver does amazing work with his 2 accounts and his fortune boxes collection etc. 
Will be very interesting to know the player with more MYTH parts L50 excluding Clever craziness. I remember when I was a rookie there were players with 250 plus myth parts commenting about it and I guess they can be easy in the 450 now. Just with my basic math of regular constant farming, I can tell that a player forming enough it can make every year around 60 MYTH parts from EPIC level in the freeway, but it is hard work to be consistent.

Didn't realize that mech selection is more/less what sent the game into the downward spiral, you've pinpointed that moment exactly. I had always believed it to be a series of bad choices however the game does seem to be much better with that removed.
Not sure if you're implying you'd like legacy returned in the postscript but I can empathize that feeling of wanting the good old days back. We complained a lot back then but it's true that you don't miss a good thing until it's gone. Love you man hope you're doing well.

That makes sense, so they just want to make the fights shorter to optimize the games per hour. I guess I'll upgrade the torso then, thanks for the help! 😄

They use low hp torso and legs with maxed weapons to end fights quickly against other smurfs. It's the fastest way to farm wins for the clan reward and daily bonuses as previously mentioned.

It's based on current rank and time spent in arena queue. The longer you spend in queue, the further away a potential matchup can be (by rank). This is why you'll sometimes see rank 5 players match with rank 1s, as well as other weird examples in lower ranks. 
As for the weird mechs you see in low ranks, those are smurfs. Players intentionally dropping rank to capitalize on clan win bonuses and the occasional arena win gold boost. Matchmaking has nothing to do with item rarities, but I'd suggest maxing your torso and drone first.

Another part that affects it is the amount of people playing. As larger the number of players, the closer rank match it will happen. If the number of players it is too low, the game will try to match you in some ways if not the loop waiting will be very long. Also, the match maker will match you up with 2 ranks up or 2 down according to your rank stars at the moment as basic think you can see when season end you might drop 2 ranks if you are less than halfway on rank stars. If you are full on stars, it might drop just 1 rank. 
Let say if you are R4 first star your matches will be in R6-R3 as basic. As more players are in your rank, the tendency will be R4 fights. If not enough can be R5 having more player's base people crossing. If you are an R4 full stars the rank to go for, it will normally switch to R4-R2. Crossing the middle of stars on rank it will shift the match.
