  1. Well, yes, that’s the nature of Brute. However, when Brute RNG’s fails or you’re able to survive beyond the 2nd pair of shots (leaving Brute with no more ammo), then Brute players are screwed. Well, yes, that’s also the nature of Spartan. Isn’t that true for any other builds? In regards to your previous comment on WU, the fact you mentioned WU only shows your shortcoming in strategic depth. Meaning, you can only learn some much from playing against yourself. You need to play with other people. In hindsight, I wished I never mentioned WU’s simulation to you. You only limit yourself by playing it. It isn’t the same against playing a real opponent. Something you’ll never realize. You think Spartan is less than Brute. But I’ve shown otherwise in my previous post with the many photos I’ve posted. With the photos I provided, I’ve shown Spartan still remains premium over Brute. That’s not true. People in the middle rank always had and always will have the opportunity to have decent resist. They chose HP over resist. As the saying goes, “You’ve made your bed, now lie in it.” However, I do agree Brute slaughters in the lower rank. That’s another subject matter. We’re talking about Brute. I’ll leave it at that.
  2. Oh, come on! Why didn’t I buy this sale! If I knew Alexander was going to sell these mods as a pair, I'd have bought the Combined Engine Unit from the previous sale, and then food the Mercy (got 3 already). Sigh... Besides the palmface, this is a nice sale, especially if anyone already bought the Combined Engine Unit from the previous sale. The base price of this sale is the same as buying 1100 tokens for $20, except it’s 1200 tokens with this sale and a bunch of freebies included. Unless Alexander intents to sell more Quad Core Boosters, this is a must have sale if you’ve a Combined Engine Unit. The Overload Preventor can be good by itself. Oof! Another misleading sale, sadly, I skipped the last sale that goes with this sale... Note to Alexander: If you’re going to sale a pair of items, consider selling them together rather than separately. One part of a pair of items doesn’t necessarily entice people to buy the item. Thus, you lost the Combined Engine Unit sale with me. Or you could sale the pair as a 2-part sale with a description stating a 2-part sale for a pair of items.
  3. With those 2 comments above, you’re asking to make Brute’s stats similar to Spartan. Isn’t that the definition of similar? With the exception, Brute remains a 2-shot. Otherwise, I'd have called it identical if it were also a 3-shot like Spartan. When deciding stats, making stats easy should never be a consideration. There should always be more thought involved. That fact you mentioned easy, tells of your mindset. Almost doesn’t cut it. In the end, there can only be one winner. > > > > > > > In regards to the photos above, oh yes, there’s a power difference post balance. It sure isn’t Brute. Clearly, the winner is Spartan. Admittedly, in my experience with dual Spartans post balance, it can get close with a dual Brute due to RNG, but that occurs very rarely. From my experience as a dual Spartan owner vs. a dual Brute, Brute is still inferior in comparison to Spartan. With that said, Brute doesn’t need a further nerf. Actually, it never needed a nerf to begin with. Hopefully, the photos add some weight to my comments, in regards to your nerfing Brute further to a 2-shot Spartan to make Spartan more premium than Brute. Before making assumptions, find out the truth. In this case, knowledge isn’t the same as experience. Own a pair of Spartan. Use it against players with dual Brute, and then come talk about a comparison between Brute and Spartan. That way, you’re talking from a stronger viewpoint, and your assessment is more informed.
  4. I just got this from a rank box. What a coincidence. I just bought one from a sale, and then this one dropped. The myth one I bought from a previous sale. I just pray Alexander doesn’t sell a 3rd one since I now have 3 Defence Matrix. It reminds me of a similar situation with the Mercy sale.
  5. Liam, it’s good to see you’re still kicking it on the forum. Speaking of Wepwawet, where is she? Usually, she active when there's bad news. Ban? For the record, I never oppose getting free tokens from the last Gold Portal.
  6. TL;DR: good sale if you’ve the money for it. At $52 worth of tokens, it’s slightly more than the usual Tacticsoft’s max sales price. Haha, leave it to Alexander to push the limit. Thank goodness, it isn’t a $70 sale. Con: Defense Matrix isn’t the best. In my opinion, there are better premium resist mods to use. However, if someone doesn’t have a premium resist mod, then it’s good for that person. Off Topic: On a positive note, Defense Matrix doesn’t have a large impact in the arena at the higher ranks, so that’s a good thing. Because every time there’s an op item for sale, you’ll see everyone and their dogs using that op item in the arena. It makes it that much harder to compete in the arena at the higher ranks. On that note, I’m beginning to notice another trend here. Besides the large amount of premium packs on sale, the guarantee sales has been shifting to mods. If the premium packs (RNG packs) and the mods are meant to lessen the impact in the arena, I can’t find fault with Alexander’s intention. Pros: Essentially, this sale is a 10-premium-pack sale at 3k tokens. And then, you get as a bonus an extra premium pack, Platinum Plate, Defense Matrix, Transform and Legendary Relic, Arena Coins, and some gold. With all the extra freebies, this sale is worth getting. Personally, I’m really buying this sale for only the Platinum Plate the rest is gravy. Admittedly, the Legendary Relic is gold, and the Transform Relic is good. You can’t go wrong with some gold. And the Arena Coins is good if someone need it. Easy come, easy go...
  7. Oh, a new guy. It must be nice to be P2W.
  8. That’s not the same as a face reveal. There can be no doubt what you look like with a face reveal.
  9. When I saw I was matched up against a rank 1, I like damn matchmaking. There goes my win streak. The matchmaking hates me. At this point, I was doing a suicide run. I persevere, and won! That was unexpected considering the odds were stacked against me. Seriously, look at his next mech! But he quit. Apparently, it pays to persevere. Maybe he remembers our last fight? Our last match was close. By the way, does anyone know who this Sam guy is? I never saw him before.
  10. No need to wonder. Just post your photo here, so everyone knows what you look like. Tada!
  11. Thanks a bunch! After all these years, I finally find out. I’m going to check out the last one since it doesn’t look insulting.
  12. I’m certain he means in-game mute. Here’s how you do it in the game: By the way, could someone tell what all the faces mean? I only know of the greeting and gg.
  13. After reading some people’s appreciations, I just realized I’ve always appreciated Wepwawet and bestplayer. I felt they added value to the forum, although I sometimes disagreed with them.
  14. Sigh... I quote you on what you mentioned to me earlier. I clearly articulated my definition for a 5-month grace period, and Gato’s ownership of this game, as follows: I'd appreciate it if you didn’t make me repeat myself. First of all, I want to make it clear I bear no ill feelings towards Gato or Alexander. Also, I want to give you credit for listing all the stuff Gato did. I should have mentioned it all for thoroughness. I was incorrect for not to mentioning it all. Not that I ever thought Gato didn’t do anything, although I was hoping for something more profound. In regards to profound, in my opinion, the best that Gato did thus far is the minor rebalance due to the profound changes to the game, although I'd have been fine without it. I rather Gato produce something new instead of a rebalance in regards to their profits. Now to your comment above, I can see where you’re coming from when you mentioned I criticized Alexander, in regards to the extreme wait time for the introduction of new items. However, that isn’t what I was thinking. When I mentioned the long wait time, I simply wanted to see something new. I don’t think a lot of people will find that an unreasonable expectation. After all, we’ve been waiting 7 months and counting for a new item. No offense to Gato, but Tacticsoft was producing new items every month. I know that’s not the best comparison, but my point is Gato is taking a very long time to introduce new items. Now, in regards to your comment below, I want you to know if you didn’t criticize Tacticsoft to begin with in this appreciation topic, I wouldn’t have anything to say to you. Rescuing and the intentional misspelling of Tacticsoft’s name clearly show your dislike for Tacticsoft. So, you’re welcome to criticize Tacticsoft. But when someone criticizes Gato, it’s wrong. That’s what I call hypocrisy or double standard. Your comments below, is the definition of hypocrisy. Let me plant your quote here to emphasize my point. Isn’t that a criticism of Tacticsoft? So once again, that’s ok for you to criticize Tacticsoft. But that’s not ok to criticize Gato? To be clear once again, it was not my intention to criticize Gato. Turtle hit it on the nail there. Exactly, what I was thinking. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bothered to reply to SawzAll. Yes, it was cool to appreciate Alexander. On the other hand, it wasn’t cool to disrespect Tacticsoft in the same sentence, in my view. Regarding the comment below, you don’t call that trashing on Tacticsoft? That’s my exact feeling for Tacticsoft. That’s ditto for me as well. With the exception, you had to bash Tacticsoft while appreciating Alexander. Although I criticized you, I treated you in an adult, civil manner. I never cursed you out. Maybe you want to enlighten me on what you consider I said to you in a toxic manner.
  15. Epicspeedster, good to see you’re clear in whom you’re addressing now because I thought you’re addressing me only. There’s something to be said about using proper direct address. At this point, I’ve replied to you more than SawzAll. It looks to me you’re more disgruntled about this than anyone else is. Why don’t you drop it already. I’m done talking to you. I wash my hands of you.
  16. After my first reply to SawzAll, I washed my hands. Anything afterwards, I leave in it SawzAll’s ballpark. You ought to say something to SawzAll as well if it really bothers you. Like I mentioned earlier, I already washed my hands.
  17. To be honest, I don’t dislike Gato. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a fine company, although it’d be nice if they introduced something new, as in soon. Having an item portal would be nice as well, even if it were a Cinco del Mayo sombrero hat. Let’s hope we get a 4th of July portal!
  18. Omg! I was thinking the same thing about the damage. I just didn’t have the heart to mention it to SawzAll.
  19. But we’re discussing our appreciation for our respective companies. SawzAll wants to get into the finer points, which I’m happy to oblige him. If you don’t want to read any of it, you’re welcome to ignore it. Please do.
  20. I’ve been on the forum over 3 years; this is the first I heard someone else created Legacy, and then sold it to Tacticsoft. On the contrary, I heard from some people on the old forum that Tacticsoft created Legacy. Originally, it was a mini-game in Battle Dawn. Once Tacticsoft realized how popular it became, Tacticsoft decided to turn it into a full-fledged game. As I mentioned in my previous post to someone else, Tacticsoft wasn’t done introducing new items into the game. Tacticsoft’s plans were cut short when Gato bought this game. Because Tacticsoft is gone, no one can say what the future holds for Energy under Tacticsoft’s reign. However, in the past, I want to point out people always bitterly complained how op Valiant Sniper was. Thus, it got nerfed. So for the record, Tacticsoft always tried to maintain some balance within in this game. It just took time for it to occur. What other bad decisions are you referring to? Gato could have bought this game in October or November. I believe it was October. I stand corrected on the final date of Tacticsoft’s scheduled event. It was at the end of February instead of the end of March. So, it was 4 months instead of 5 months. You want the facts. Ask Alexander for confirmation on the date of ownership, and Tacticsoft’s last scheduled event. Obviously, not every new item Tacticsoft introduces is going to be of legendary quality, hence the different rarities. In case you didn’t notice, practically everything is based on rarity (e.g., common to legendary rarity). Quote you: Despite you saying that, I do see the “premium backfire resistance drainers” in the arena. Obviously, those are useful. Otherwise, I wouldn’t see those items in the arena. Granted, I’m not current on the latest plans Alexander has since he likes to conduct business anywhere other than here (i.e., he’s more active on Discord), so I’m not current. Despite that, I’m aware Alexander wants to rebalance the game. So, there’s a difference from paying attention to not knowing. Trust me when I say this: I’m always attentive on the old and new Super Mechs’ forums, hence receiving an observation score of 94% from 16 Personalities’ profile test. It has been 7 months since Gato took ownership. Granted Gato was busy settling in after taking ownership, it shouldn’t have taken that long for Gato to come up with the rebalance Alexander mentioned or introducing new items. To be fair, I should have mentioned those projects you mentioned to give a thorough assessment of Gato’s work thus far. I didn’t think those projects were time-consuming, so it never occurred to me to mention those projects. Besides, in my previous post to you, I was thinking along the lines of new item releases, not the other projects you mentioned. I never mentioned Gato was idle. All I mentioned is Gato is taking a long time introduce “new items” (or rebalance). Thus, I mentioned the wait time for new item releases twice to emphasize my point. When I mentioned that comment, I meant something current, not the past, such as the new balance changes, still waiting for that to happen. I already mentioned those projects. Since I figured those took time to do, I thought it was worth mentioning. What Legacy drop rates? There are no Legacy drop rates since we’re in the Reloaded version of this game. It’s only Reloaded drop rates. I'd have liked to reply to your “Legacy drop rates were increased” comment, but Legacy doesn’t exist anymore, so what you’re saying makes no sense. Your wording for “flash sunset effect” is vague. If you’re specifically referring to the desktop client, then it’s Tacticsoft who created the desktop client over a year ago, not Gato. Oh, man, if you really thought Gato created the desktop client within 3 months, I can understand why you think Gato is busy. I can image creating the desktop client requires a lot of work. Yes, I’m aware of those projects you mentioned. To reiterate, I only mentioned things that I wanted to discuss, specifically something current (e.g., new items or rebalance). Honestly, I didn’t think much about those changes because they seem insignificant to me since they didn’t affect me, with the exception of the Gold Portal. But that was toned down now if I’m not mistaken, so meh. Another exception is the minor balance change. That was big deal. That affected every aspect of the game. Discord isn’t my cup of tea, although I plan to visit it more often to stay up-to-date. In my book, there’s nothing worse than saying something that isn’t credible. Thanks for the suggestion. That’s a good suggestion.
  21. If Tacticsoft still owned the game, we’d have still received new updates from the rest of the Legacy items with Reloaded stats. It’s a shame Tacticsoft didn’t make it. With Tacticsoft, we were at a dawn of a new era. It’d have been interesting to see what new updates Tacticsoft would have devised. Now that Gato has taken over, I can only wonder what the future holds for this game. Gato is definitely setting a different path from Tacticsoft.
  22. If you can, it’s better to wait for a guarantee sale or 2k token sale.
  23. Oh, but Tacticsoft did. It wasn’t often. Perfect example is the disable base request. When the base was first introduced, there were many complaints on it. Due to the numerous complaints, Tacticsoft allowed the base to be disabled upon a one-time request. Oof! You couldn’t be more wrong. Tacticsoft did ban 2 people that I’m aware of due to cheating in the raid. So, you want the game to be stagnant with no new items introduced? That way, you can catch up? Lol! Ok, bro, your bad luck then. Those are old items I haven’t maxed out yet. Yet I was able to acquire them during sales, or from premium packs and fortune boxes. It helps I’ve a lot of premium packs, and getting lucky from fortune boxes.
  24. To stay on topic, I’m grateful Tacticsoft made this game. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be playing it right now. There was nothing to rescue when everything was fine to begin with. At least Tacticsoft was producing new items every month. I can’t say the same for Gato. When are we getting new items from Gato? Gato took over this game around October last year, and to boot Tacticsoft planned in advance events and new item releases until the end of March. That gave Gato a 5-month grace period to come up with something. Now, 7 months has elapsed. During that time, there were only a few balance updates (and bans) to show for Gato’s 7-month ownership. How much longer must we wait for new items? How about an item portal? Whatever Gato has planned, it’s taking forever to produce something, anything.
