Amazing how this problem has gone on so long with no word from anyone.  Last "News" item on the forum from 2022.  I think they don't monitor the forum at all.  Being that I think this game is Gato games' biggest money maker and them just letting it be like this which will turn players away seems like a bad business decision to me.

Maybe it's just me, but under TacticSoft it felt like every 2 weeks they would offer one of the legendary good items, and it felt like if you just waited long enough and saved your tokens you would EVENTUALLY over time get the items you wanted for your build.  Under Gato Games, it seems like they have leaned into offering good deals on premium packs, rather than the items.  So, I've tried some of these deals and maybe I'm just unlucky but I've never seen some of the important items I need for my build.  Without spending a lot of money, which I'm not willing to do, I'm not sure really how to progress in this game which I find frustrating.  Hope for a lucky fortune box drop?  Am I the only one feeling frustrated by the Gato Games' special offers?

Its a double edged sword. The lack of new items has prevented the L+ pool from getting further polluted, but again the lack of new items has really led to a stale meta which really benefits the long timers and whales. This game is seemingly in its sunset, and it is very hard for someone to grind up at this point with paying big money. 
Us old timers can just craft from the factory for a chance at Legends, but it takes enormous effort to get to L20 base. 
Due to connection issues I missed the Relic portal which really is what I need more than items at this point to maintain my L3 rank. And I dont know if that will ever return
 
 

Gatogames got off to a good start by giving players new items and portals, more opportunities to win tokens, etc. But then it went down when they stopped releasing updates, plus it was always hard to get an'' useful '' legendary.  On the other hand, with Tacticsoft  was more difficult to get tokens but we all knew that at the end of each month we would obtain a mythical item.

I have been pretty darn happy with the offers. Spent more money on the game in the short time gato took over since legacy days back in 2012

Hmm, sure what you indicted have some good observation. TS used to sale some decent items but also some of the worse. Sure you can see some items like bunkers, magma, valiant, selfish, mercy and others because when I joined I saw all of that. 
Now, GATO reduced prices on similar items and some extra bang. It is been focus on boxes but also basic that are modules like today offer plating offer many times and people need those.
If you refer about a valiant as example at GATO so far it is not been there. I was hopping to get some summer offer of weapons apparts of the discounted paint etc that are fine and cool 😎  but yes we need some parts. ALSO can be goo a or bad many having same parts like before everyone with FRANTIC killing each other no one moving up.
The game now got messy again in the arena. Same mechs everywhere.

Yes ... for the 5 times higher cost !
Before the Base change (at tacticsoft times), it was even worser, to get the same amount of boost power (items) you needed 7 times (❗) the amount of Gold at the Base !
Now there was a "little" change about the Gold at the Base ... but still I think it is min. 5 times higher cost !
(if someone has the time, please do the math about, I did it very detailed with he "old" Base)
The only advantage from the Base is, that you can get Legendaries !
Therefore I thought for a very short time to maybe change to the Base !
BUT once I saw the droprates from good / useable Legendaries at the Base, I throw this thought very wide away !

Thank you for posting this, I was just about to suggest the same thing.

Assuming you mean increased drop rate (ie. new item) - my guess is that it's x10-20 of normal drop rate. So for most items, usually you can get at least 1 within 5-10 packs.

Just got lucky to get one of the meta items in an offer today 🙂.  So in a premium box, based on your large sample size, L = 20%, E = 80%.  Here's my next question -- let's say there is a "hot" offer next to a premium box which happens every now and again with an increased drop rate for an item.  Do you know what the drop rate is for that item?  Is it still L = 20% and E = 80%, but the new item is 50% if you get an L?  Hoping your large sample size can shed light on the percentages.

If you open a premium box, chance of L = 20%, chance of E = 80%. (my sample size is a couple thousand premium packs, which is x5 premium box)

Depends how far off you are from a meta build - if pretty close, maybe try your luck with premium packs (don't do boxes - they give you less for tokens); but if far away, I'd recommend saving tokens on portals and spending it to refill fuel for L drop chance from portal boxes. But if you have enough tokens/money to spare, but premium packs away. Note though that most good L-Ms have a drop rate of about 0.1%
