A great tale that many of us share, for the better or worse. Reminds me of my own breaks inbetween years, either it be a burn-out or loss of interest, yet here we are, years later, still playing this silly game. You may change the e-mail linked to your supermechs account via the old forum -> https://forum.supermechs.com/forum/. After logging in with your SM account info, follow these steps: User Control Panel > Profile > Edit account settings. Then, type in your new email and your curreent password. You will recieve an activation email so make sure to check all folders, including spam. All you have to do after that is simply click the given link.

None of the pre-built mech offers in the shop are worth it. However, the only one that is to ever be considered, is Molten Lava. The reason is simple, it offers crimson rapture; a must-have item if you plan to get high scores in raid. I do however, not recommend buying it until you really need it. Usually when you're very far into the games progression (rank 3+).
