I have to say, I've known Alex for a long time now. 5 years? something like that. actually, now that I think about it, my second ever battle dawn era (in 2011) Alex and Kenny beat me up pretty bad we've had out ups and down, I've been pretty mean and nasty at various times in my life - and I can blame it all on this or the other thing. but ultimately it doesn't really matter. I think he knows I'm sorry for the things I've done in the past. today, I'd honestly say I consider Alexander a friend. maybe we don't know each other super well, but I'd like to think we've grown warmer on each other over the years. where once we were enemies, we became acquaintances, then friends, perhaps even - lovers? (joking) When I heard Gato were buying SuperMechs, I was skeptical. In knew Alex's real passion project was battledawn (understandably), but over these past months Alex has gone above and beyond to fix this game up, and make it fairer and more available to players. beyond this, his community interaction is exceptional - nothing of the sort happened under SM. basically, Alex is a friend, and a good guy. by the looks of your current HP, I'm going to go against the grain here and suggest Claw, which will be fully viable given the recoil on your stub-gun. I actually think this weapon set-up is alright, but be aware that the actual electric damage will be very low, and so if you fail to get the drain early and your opponent has electric resistance, you might aswell be firing spit-balls for all the good that malice beam will do you. this could be partially mitigated with the addition of a res drainer, but at the end of the day, its never going to be high-impact, so deploy it where draining is a concern above all else.

I agree that it should be slightly better than it is. maybe 2 extra res points per chategory (an equivalent to the 9 res increase of the elec and heat matrixes). its easily the worst of the matrixes, but I'm not sure how much that is down to the actual design of the module vs the ease at which those who have them can stack the three individual matrixes and still keep good heat/energy stats. regardless, I think a small buff is justified.

it's actually quite nice to see someone grind and make steady progress. I can't be ar-sed grinding the game daily (as evident in my often half fused kit and lack of divined stuffs), but its nice to know those who do are seeing their work pay off.

hey bud, so I don't know how long you've been gone, but some general things that I learned when I came back after a while: Firstly, modules, modules modules. you NEED the new modules to get back to the top. this comes in the form of the OVERLOAD PREVENTER, COMBINED ENGINE BOOSTER and QUAD CORE BOOSTER (most important) which functions as a combination of both heat and energy engines BUT it has better stats for each than both individually, condenses it into one module slot and has a net weight reduction of -10kg. heres an example of how much more efficient they are: with old engines: with quad cores: BETTER stats, HALF the modules, 40KG less weight. these things are a MUST HAVE the other two are good too, and function in a similar way but for CAPACITY or REPLEN (cooling + regen) MOREOVER, there are now combined resistance plus HP modules. these are also OP: old res: NOW: the real power comes in when you combine the new HP/RES mods with new stats modules. you'll notice that those who have a lot of the new mods will have both better HP than youre used too AND better heat/energy stats: example of OLD mech module lay-out (with basic phys weapon frame, not important): Now you can do something like this: this is just a basic example of how the new modules DRASTICALLY improve any mech. There are a plethora of new weapons too, but you'll pick up the idea of how they work as you play. good news is there are frequent offers that allow you to get the new modules a nd the best new weapons if you want to get back into the game without throwing yourself to the mercy of the premium packs. ANYWAY. looking at your kit I'd suggest somethings like this (feel free to make them your own, fiddle around, take some ideas leave others, just a quick idea). for phys: for Heat: energy: good luck

I was thinking the other day they should bring this back. box drops wouldnt be so bad if you could atleast specialise. need a certain drone - get the drone box. need the new modules (like me lol) then buy the module box. I think people would be a lot less pissed off at the frankly extortionate prices if they could atleast somewhat direct it in the area they want. and if you just want any old things - you can still get the standard box. ez pz sorted. simple as
